Apple TV+’s first photos from Echo Valley showcase the dramatic thriller’s cast while not giving away any spoilers. The stills feature Oscar winner Julianne Moore, Emmy nominee Sydney Sweeney, and Domhnall Gleeson.

The new thriller promises to zig when it should zag, keeping audiences on the edge of their seat as its plot unfolds.

A Reddit short story is making the jump to the big screen. Sydney Sweeney is attached to star in I Pretended to Be a Missing Girl, an upcoming movie based on a Reddit short story by Joe Cote.

Per Deadline, Sweeney will also produce I Pretended to Be a Missing Girl through her Fifty-Fifty Films. The movie is set up at Warner Bros., with Eric Roth set to adapt Cote's Reddit short story. Roth is best known for scripting Forrest Gump (1994), The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), and Denis Villeneuve's 2021 movie Dune. He also provided additional literary material for the 2024 sequel Dune: Part Two. The short story centers around a drifter who "impersonates a missing girl to rob the girl’s family — only to realize she’s made a terrible mistake."

Sweeney is currently one of Hollywood's most in-demand actors, with several projects in various stages of development.

Julianne Moore says the film industry has “changed dramatically” since she started out in the early 1990s when it comes to female representation.

Speaking as part of Kering’s Women in Motion program at the Cannes Film Festival, the Oscar winner said one of the most noticeable differences is when it comes to career longevity for actresses.

“Meryl [Streep] said this too the other day [during the festival’s opening ceremony], this idea that when she was 40, she thought it was all going to be over,” she said. “I think we’re now seeing women represented through all stages of their lives, which is very exciting.”

Last month, Neon acquired the U.S. distribution rights to the film and let it be known they’re planning to give it a theatrical release. Now we know that Immaculate will be reaching theatres on March 22nd. The cast of Guy Ritchie’s Fountain of Youth is getting more prominent as Domhnall Gleeson joins John Krasinski and Natalie Portman for the upcoming feature from Apple and Skydance Media. Scream VI writer James Vanderbilt pens this mythological project. It involves “two estranged siblings who partner on a global heist to find the mythological Fountain of Youth. They must use their knowledge of history to follow clues on an epic adventure that will change their lives…and possibly lead to immortality.” Apple, Skydance Media, Vinson Films, and Project X Entertainment will produce the movie. The script was a high priority at Skydance since they received Vanderbilt’s screenplay. It reportedly “blew execs away.” The production company was waiting for the right creative package to come along.

The series is lead directed by Juho Kuosmanen, helmer of the Golden Globe-nominated Cannes title “Compartment Number 6,” with a second block directed by BAFTA-nominated “Lilting” helmer Hong Khaou. The show is written by “Mad Men” scribe Victor Levin. It is a Fremantle production in partnership with BAFTA- and Emmy-winning Me + You Productions (“I Am Ruth”), Academy Award-nominated Groundswell Productions (“The Visitor”) and De Maio Entertainment. Fremantle is handling global sales on the project.

Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman of Jerry Bruckheimer Films will join Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment in producing the film alongside Kosininski and seven-time Formula One champion Sir Lewis Hamilton under his Dawn Apollo Films banner.
