Right, well this 2023 Filipino movie titled "Domme" is labeled as a thriller. And thus, I opted to sit down and watch it, without ever having heard about it. However, I must admit that I was expecting this movie from director Roman Perez Jr. To be another pointless lewd movie about showing off naked ladies and sex scenes.
However, I managed to endure 30 minutes of absolute boredom, and then I just called it quits, giving up on the movie out of sheer and utter boredom. I am amazed that writers John Carlo Pacala, Vicente Paolo Fernandez and Roman Perez Jr. Collectively could manage to put together a script and storyline so bland, pointless and devoid of anything interesting or thrilling.
As for "Domme" being a thriller? Well, throughout the 30 minutes of absolutele boredom I suffered through, there was nothing even close to resembling a thriller. Not unless you consider an absolutely pointless and dull storyline as being thrilling.
Whether or not "Domme" would resort to becoming a lewd movie where director Roman Perez Jr. Would just put naked ladies on display on the screen and show off various lewd sex scenes after the 30 minute marker, I do not know. Nor can I claim that I care whether or not it will or does, because the movie utterly failed to entertain me in any way.
I can't claim that I was familiar with any of the actors or actresses on the cast list. But again, I can't claim that I really cared about the characters on the screen, but the acting performances seemed to be adequate enough throughout the 30 minutes I suffered through, I just didn't care about the narrative, and thus not about the characters either.
This is not a movie that I will ever return to attempt finish watching. Nor is it a movie that I would recommend you waste your time, money or effort on.
My rating of "Domme" lands on a one out of ten stars.

Unlike the other review, I did watch the entire movie, so you don't have to.
A man comes to Manila to work remotely for a call center. The company puts him up at a condo. The neighbors make a lot of noise of distress which turns out to be a Dominatrix and her client a male slave. Cholo then gets involved with the Domme personally.
This movie has so many problems. First, the main male (Cholo) character keeps thinking the woman (who it turns out is the Domme) is being harmed, yet the voice & crying he hears from nextdoor is obviously a man's voice. Second, he harasses the Domme a number of times to the point it could jeopardize her career, even calling the building's security on her until finally he harasses her at her car, she complains profusely and then immediately invites him out for drinks as friends? Huh? (This is all early in the movie, so no spoilers here) It gets much worse later on.
There's an entire second story (only connected later on) which is the slave who is a chef and his nephew who is heavily in dept to loan sharks. Most of this story is ridiculous. People doing stupid things that wouldn't happen in real life. Also there is a sub-story of a friend of the nephew who is looking into where some money went from the uncle's bank account. This friend is able to access information & video that a bank or law enforcement couldn't. Plus this friend loans him a large sum of money he doesn't have to pay back & are just frat buddies from college. Again ridiculous. The ending is maybe the most ridiculous though.
This is a Vivamax movie. Normally that means a lot of nudity & sex scenes. There is no real nudity or sex until almost halfway thru. There really isn't much in this movie. And minimal BDSM, mostly in dialogue.
The script is a piece of garbage. The direction is worse. So many continuity issues that should have been caught. The acting especially from Ali Asistio who plays Cholo the male leads is amateurish. Tell Asistio to give up on the decaf as it was like he was asleep thru the entire movie.
This movie fails on all points. They got nothing right. One of the worst movies I've seen in years.
