"Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali" is a visual treat, with stunning cinematography and a soothing color palette that truly comes alive on the big screen. This is a film that deserves to be seen in theaters.
The film beautifully captures the complexities of love and life through the eyes of its lead characters. Vihan Gowda delivers a standout performance, portraying his character's emotions with a naturalness that's both relatable and captivating. Ankita Amar also shines in her role.
Writer-director Chandrajith Belliappa's skillful storytelling, combined with the film's poetic dialogue and well-crafted screenplay, creates an engaging and thought-provoking experience. The interval leaves you hanging, eager to see how the story unfolds.
I particularly appreciated the film's lack of reliance on clichés like alcohol or tobacco, and its focus on a realistic portrayal of relationships. In a time when most movies rely on action and defeating villains, "Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali" offers a refreshing change of pace. It's a classy film that will stay with you long after the credits roll.

Siddharth Ashok is about to get married to Radha but is yet to move on from the girl from his past, whom he hasn't seen in 7 years. He is not sure of going through with the marriage and love Radha, as much as he did Anahita. Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali takes us through Sid's first love and how it changes his life. But his first love ends before even starting and what really happened to Sid and Anahita? Why didn't they proceed with their love story? What will happen to Sid and Radha? The film portrays an emotional journey to answer these questions.
Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali is a visually stunning film and I really liked the color grading. The story is pretty much straight forward and the screenplay breaks it into multiple chapters which gets narrated in non-linear way. Ankita Amar excels in her role of Anahita as she gets all the best moments. For a straight forward story, it suffers from predictability and the slow paced narrative doesn't help. I didn't like how much Radha's character got sidelined as the story progressed. Setting aside these complaints, the film definitely had it's moments and especially the Goan taxi driver segment was my favorite. I am going with a lenient rating for the making and the performances. I wished the screenplay was more balanced and treated it's third main character with same importance as the other two.

Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali is a captivating romance drama that deviates from the norm with its nonlinear storytelling. The film's grounded approach and authentic character interactions create a relatable and immersive experience.
The ensemble cast delivers outstanding performances, imbuing their characters with depth and emotion. Ankita, in particular, shines, conveying a wide range of emotions with remarkable subtlety and authenticity. The chemistry between the actors is palpable, enhancing the film's emotional resonance.
Director Chandrajith's skillful direction ensures that the film remains engaging despite its slower pace. The nonlinear structure adds a layer of complexity and intrigue, drawing the audience into the story. The film's narrative resembles a novel, with ten chapters each offering unique perspectives on the unfolding events.
The cinematography is a visual treat, capturing the environment, actors' expressions, and lighting with precision. The result is a stunningly crafted film that evokes a sense of magic. The soothing music composition further elevates the emotional experience, providing a harmonious backdrop to the narrative.
While the film's overall narrative is compelling, a few minor elements could have been streamlined without compromising the emotional impact or coherence. This would have allowed certain moments to shine even brighter.
Overall, Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali is a cinematic journey that deserves to be experienced on the big screen. Its stunning visuals, moving narrative, and exceptional performances make it a must-watch for those seeking a truly memorable cinematic experience.

The movie is based on a short story that the writer, director Chandrajith Belliappa had written about 10 years ago it seems. Anyway, Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali is a simple love story that reads like poetry. The movie is divided into different chapters with voice over narration at the beginning of each of those enhancing the feel even more. It feels like listening to an audiobook and getting lost in the world. The story revolves around Sid who has a crush on Anahita which doesn't materialize. How this affects him much later in the life and what he does about it forms the rest of the story.
In an era where every movie needs to be an action thriller with mega budgets, heavily computerized EDM tunes and loud BGMs, Ibbani comes across as a breath of fresh air. Its simple story, human-like characters, pleasant music and background score more than suck you into the narrative. But what really pulls you in is the astounding cinematography. Cinematographer Srivathsan Selvarajan opts for a lot of tracking shots with minimal cuts to ensure that we stay with the characters. While this may come across as "lag" in a normal film, here it works wonders and only adds to the poetry that is unfolding on the screen.
I highly recommend watching this movie. This is one of those movies where you need to sit down and immerse yourselves in. If you expect fast paced action or dialogue, then this is not going to be for you. This is supposed to be enjoyed the same way you'd enjoy your morning cup of filter coffee. One sip at a time.

Matured love story, deep meaning on poetry and with a slow narration of parallel story telling makes this a surprise winner. This movie takes us through a journey of true love, surpassing the social pressure and facing the mountainuos battle. Vihan Gowda's casual acting and serious looks is just right for the role. Ankita Amar's charming smile and innocent looks is a breath of fresh air. Mayuri Nataraj's bold stand and dialogue delivery is the highlight.
Background score and songs are good.
This movie is not everyone's cup of coffee, but enjoy this refreshing dew drops as it's a pearl for Kannada movie industry.
