Chennai, Jan 18: Following the success of Tamil action-drama "Jilla", its director R.T. Neason's phone has not stopped ringing. Several leading actors such as Junior Nt Rama Rao (Ntr) from the Telugu film industry have expressed an interest in working with him.

"I have been getting so many calls from Telugu industry. Junior Ntr wants to work with me and so are so many other top actors. I haven't really decided on whom will I work with next but I will be doing a film each in Tamil and Telugu soon," Neason told Ians.

While Neason worked with Tamil superstar Vijay in "Jilla", he confirmed that his next will also feature a star.

Chennai, Jan 13: Buoyed by the success of Tamil action-drama "Jilla", its producer R.B. Chaudhary Monday said Vijay is an actor for the masses, therefore, it's unwise to make an art film with him.

"Jilla" released Friday and struck the gold at the box-office. In its opening weekend, it has reportedly minted Rs.15.43 crore.

"When you're making a film with Vijay, one needs to keep in mind that he has a large fan base. Therefore, it is important to satisfy them. You can't make an art film or even a family drama with him because his fans won't appreciate it," Chaudhary told reporters here.

There's plenty of it in "Jilla", and lots of commercial elements aimed at appealing to every fan of the superstars. But the film doesn't have an engaging screenplay to keep you hooked for three long hours and that's precisely why it's an exercise in futility.

Chennai, Dec 26: Tamil superstar Vijay, who has teamed up with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in upcoming film "Jilla", has requested his director to place his name after his senior co-star's in the film's title card.

"Vijay ensured that Lal (Mohanlal) sir's name appears first on the title card followed by his name. I believe he respects seniority more than popularity, and therefore, requested me to not place his name first on the title card," the film's director Nesan told Ians.

Chennai, Dec 19: Two of the highly anticipated Tamil albums "Jilla" and "Veeram" of superstars Vijay and Ajith Kumar respectively, will have a soft audio launch, according to their makers who have decided not to go for grand release.

The soundtrack of "Veeram" will be released Friday on a radio channel in the presence of its director Siva and composer Devi Sri Prasad.
