A movie which should be released in 2013 but still engaging with the script. When the script is high screenplay doesnt matter ...... must watch.... . Dialogues are the best... loved it..... P.s. i am not a kamal fan

Released with high expectation due to the first part i agree The film is a decent watch but has nothing new to offer .u won't be able to get yourself inside the movie any point. The movie just answers some unanswered questions of first part. Looks like they shot some extra sequences during the first part doesn't wanna waste it so made into a movie. Technically very good & Music is top notch . KAmalhassan asusual brilliant this man has so much to offer but he needs a fund to do which is not happening. Overall u can definitely have a go at it without huge expectation.

A big downfall from the last one. Looked like Kamal Hassan sir was very short in budget and resources on this one(used most of it in last movie), most of scenes were shoot in green screen, slow dragging storyline, budget does matter for making and promoting a film. Hope Kamal Hasan Sir brings in something of his level in future.

While most sequels fail to impress, this one is significant enough. Though it may not be as intense as its prequel, yet it could maintain the legacy well. The plot could have been more enthralling. Shekhar Kapur doesn't fit well as an active field agent. He's better off doing the desk job from Delhi. Rahul Bose and Jaideep Ahlawat appear to be too much urbane Indian, especially in their dialect. They should work on their tone & speech should they plan to make another sequel. Pooja Kumar had nothing innovative to show. Her underwater stint was pointless. It's Andrea Jeremiah who really impressed us. Though she's cute & bubbly, when time comes, she could be equally electrifying & deadly. After Tapsee Pannu in Baby and Naam Shabana, Jeremiah is the only girl who could pull off the character of a warrior woman convincingly. Kudos to her! Waheeda Rahman's character could be relatable well by those who have elderlies at home suffering from neurological or brain disorders. We know how sorrowful their conditions are. Yet, she should've been given more time to play around her character. Surprisingly, Anant Mahadevan played a small but interesting character. He truly portrayed how ignorant our politicians and bureaucrats are about our soldiers and operatives, who sacrifice everything for the country. Kamal Haasan was at his best as usual. However, he should've kept himself in proper shape. His paunch was quite visible. Viswaroop can prove to be a good franchise if they can come up with gripping plots and storylines. Despite of its flaws, it's films like these that can gradually put the Indian film industry on par with the likes of the Bourne Series, 13 Hours and Strike Back. And given the current scenario, only Kamal Haasan, Neeraj Pandey and John Abraham can bring out that change. Looking forward to them...

If you are a fan of Viswaroopam 1,ignore this film as the identity of the characters are taken for a toss.The high intense fighting coupled with an immersive story line which kept us glued to First part is missing in this movie.Story line gets predictable. The contents of this movie should have been added to the first part to the balance out all the short coming(which are many) in this movie. Ofcourse I am not a film maker,just an enthusiast.I don't know all the troubles Kamal Hassan had to go through,but I did expect a better movie for his Viswaroopam sequel.

Not at all satisfying. This is not what I have expected from 'The Viswaroopam (2013) Sequel'. In 2013 it was extraordinarily high class and stood one step ahead in the Indian cinematic era by all its special aspects, but this one, does not turn out to be a perfect quality sequel for it. The plot is ok but it is mostly lagged by the imperfection of scenes. The spot where the 'interval' is placed is so miserable. The mother-son sentiments and Kamal-Pooja romance amidst this serious plot is utterly displeasing and plot spoiling. I divide the scenes of the whole movie into three parts. Excellent, good and bad. Excellent are indeed the scenes related to the Afganisthaan Al-Qaeda scenes of the first part.(They are made along with the previous movie shooting itself.)The stunts are sometimes irritating by the super heroic numbers, over exaggeration and editing. The terrible villain Omar is like a guest role till the end (so please don't wait for him till the last act.) Acting is ok but Pooja is over dramatic. Technically good in cinematography and sound mixing but the overdosed CGI and imperfect visual effects is really annoying throughout everywhere. Anyway the movie is good but dont ever expect a high level second part for the Kamal Hasan epic Viswaroopam (2013), if so you will be disapponted. If Viswaroopam of 2013 was a sincere and dedicating hardwork of Kamal Hasan, Viswaroopam of 2018 seems to be a obligation or a lazy duty of the same.

In the first edition, the veteran star-actor led from the front: here the 'dirty soldier turned bloody espionage agent' is all thundery lines like 'main mazhab nahin mulk ke liye khoon bahaata hoon'. But even he can't rise above the shockingly inept script, which he rescues only in a few places, when his trademark intelligent, wry self-awareness manages to kick in. The rest can be safely ignored.

On the whole, VISHWAROOP II is a highly avoidable flick. The film has too many tracks and the narration and execution is flawed and weak. Also at the box office, the film will have a tough time.

The long-awaited follow-up to 2014's Vishwaroopam (Hindi title: Vishwaroop 2) is an empty shell. As tiresome as the first part was exhilarating, it is an incoherent muddle that is not even middling in terms of quality. Sexagenarian superstar Kamal Haasan, also the writer and director of this bloated mess, clearly used up all his ammo in the first go. Vishwaroop 2 is left working with low-yield leftovers.The world has moved on, terrorism has gotten much worse, and Mission Impossible has just delivered its best instalment ever. Vishwaroop 2, hopelessly stuck in the past, is a step backwards.

Overall, Vishwaroop 2 is at best an average affair. If you saw and loved the first part just go for it. But if you haven't seen the prequel, you'll be confused throughout. So, watch it only if you have seen the first part. Kamal Haasan is a legend and this film proves it once again. He holds the screen like no other actor. Watch it for his screen presence, watch it for it concludes what we saw in the first part.P.S - It would've made more sense if it would've released closer to its prequel's release.

Don't believe what other say about this movie.... Me personally watched this movie so I am here to say this .. this is the best movie in kollywood since now .. Watch this movie only on theaters

Film is not worth at all.. story is not engaging & convincing at any point.. Not even half baked plot it's just rotten plot.. Give a try if you want to waste time and money..

I wish I had something to write about this movie but I am disappointed I don't even have any words to describe how much I wanted to get out of the theatre. Half the movie seemed like deleted scenes from vishwaroopam 1. Rest of the movie was done in a week. It could have been much better if it wasn't made in such a hurry. No one in the crew seemed interested in making a great movie. Didn't expect this coming from such a great actor Kamal Hassan.

This movie is totally crap, personally a fan of Kamaal sir but this time he failed miserably.

Vishwaroopam 2 starts off from where Vishwaroopam left us stunned 5 years ago. Kamal Haasan is the star of the show with his great acting and direction skills. Supporting cast too did their part really well. Special mention to Rahul Bose and his assistant. BGM and songs stood out throughout the movie especially the song 'Gnyabagam Varigiradha'. Story conveys a good message too at the end. Overall a great movie experience. My rating: 9/10

Kamal hassan should just stick to acting and let the script and direction be handed to others

Part 1 and 2 of this film series is a complete story, taking us through a lot of things,and particularly this part focuses on emotions and other things.. In one word, it's a must to watch film..

MOVIE IS SO BOARING. SAME OLD SCRIPTS THIS MOVIE WILL BE FLOP AND NOT AT ALL TO LISTEN OR WATCH. TAMIL PADAM 2 IS BETTER THAN THIS. NOWADAYS MOVIES QUALITY ARE VERY BAD. IT GOES TO HELL. MOVIES LOST HIS ATTRACTIONS

Vishwaroopam 1 was the greatest movie i have seen in Indian films but its continuation is totally decreases the impact we got from vishu 1. Totally waste of time.

Most of the time Sequels don't do justice to the original. And Vishwaroopam 2 is not an exception. Kamal Haasan gives a good performance as an actor but not as director. Script and villain both are weak or should I say script is villain of the movie. Pandit Birju Maharaj's choreography was awesome. Otherwise the movie was 'meh'!

I went to watch the Hindi version : Vishwaroop II. First day first show.

Story of the film is quite simple. New York is safe but Dawkins is dead. The story takes off from this very point and trust me, the Vishwaroop saga can't proceed in a better way than this.

Coming to performances, it was truly a mindblowing experience, to see Wisam Ahmad Kashmiri in action on screen. He is quite invincible yet has a heart of gold. Everytime something wrong happens with him he recalls all his vices. Kamal Haasan aced in the actor's job. Pooja Kumar and Andrea were cute as expected. Shekhar Kapur showed true signs of being a 'mama' to Wisam. Waheeda Rehman ji, Rajendra Gupta, Yusuf Hussain excelled in their roles. Rahul Bose is as intense as in Vishwaroop. Salim aka Jaideep Ahlawat deserves a special mention for the climax scene. He truly nails it with his groans in the climax.

Direction is superb as there are hardly any places where the flavour of Vishwaroop seems to have been lost. Budget limitations are visible at few places yet Kamal Haasan's screen presence will make you ignore it. Songs are awesome and so is the background music. Atul Tiwari has done a very commendable job with the dialogues. On the other hand, the protions before the climax (Wisam in South Block Delhi) seem to be quite boring. Anyone who has watched part 1 will definitely love the movie. Please do not trust the critics with this one.

This part is nowhere equal to the first one and screenplay was easily predictable. Felt like watching a drama. Andrea's characterization sometimes were really frustrating.

Good and strong story line, kamal showed his mind about nationalism in film. He asking lot of question & thoughts

It is too painful that reviewing this title. Because the movie is very boring. No story plot is proper. I even don't understand what is going on the screen. What is mission ? What is hero doing for ? First part was better. Why Kamal Hasan took so many years to make second part ? And it is not watchable. Feeding jalebi by villain at last end is very foolish scene, as all audience knows that hero is coming. There is no logic, no suspense and none of thrill. Killing Ashmita is intentionally written to go off one heroine when two are loving one , otherwise there is very difficult to beat such expert cop in real. Moreover after her killing there is none of word uttered till end the movie about her ! I only felt sympathy to her role.
