I don't know what I was expecting when I started this drama but I was not expecting this quality at all.
This series is real, relatable, honest and very smartly written.
It doesn't romanticize the typical toxic traits of love relationships but instead it calls them out.
It highlights how ugly it can get when a relationship fails and also tells that healing is about working on yourself, admitting when something can't be forced or fixed and how EVERYTHING will pass.
It is okay when love is over, as everything in live has an expiration date, so be true to love and to life and enjoy the present giving it all you have.
The story is mature and silly at the same time and it has so many funny parts.
I loved the FL character and how hard she tries to rewrite herself into a more real version of herself and what real life is about. I discovered Yoo In Na in Goblin and to be honest I never thought much of her as an actress, but she surprised me greatly with her role as Bo ra, absolute show of all emotions and feelings and she has an hilarious comic side I didn't know, it was truly great.
The main couple has good chemistry as well and Was a bit slow for my taste the last few episodes hence I didn't give it a 10, but was almost there.
Excellent healing drama, filled with great dialogues and smart topics.
Enjoy!!!

Deborah played beautifully by Yoo In-na is a dating coach who gives advice on relationships through her books and radio show. She seems to have a perfect life but it all falls apart when she finds out her rich boyfriend who she thinks is about to propose to her is actually cheating. It is a true to life story with experiences most of us can relate to with how pathetic we can become when our romantic life falls apart. A well acted drama with a good supporting cast who show off different relationships at different stages and the every day struggles people go through in deciding what's right for them.

Don't give up on Ep. 1, sensing just another feminist, man-slamming drama. Tables are about to get completely flipped in a sensational retraction of Deborah's personal philosophy. The raw emotion of it all is pretty un-Korean, but transcendental of both sex and culture - that truly unites the World. How one gets up from Life's sucker-punches is what makes this drama so fascinating. The fact that all the male characters in are tongue-tied and feeble ought to be a problem, but it is astutely resolved here by over-loquacious but equally vulnerable females devising the four couples. Role of "woman scorned" is performed to perfection by glamorous actress, Deborah (Lee Soo-hyeok), who casts a big shadow on all around her. The scenes, dialogue, and episodic layout here have been intricately planned in a very intelligent drama. If only producers could give audiences more like this.

Watching this without any expectation since got none to watch. Suprisingly got hooked up since eps 1. The story is so relatable. The actresses and actors are amazing, especially Yoo In Na as Bora. She perfectly potrays her role, as if the part was made just for her.
The drama is lovely, fun. There are sadness in the beginning and sometimes embarrassing too but so relatable in life. Nothing is boring here, the story flows nicely.
I read the rating is low in Korea and i don't get it. But i guess international audiences likes it a lot, so it get good rating. A must watch if you are into romance comedy.

Korean Drama " Bo Ra! Deborah " is a new aged romantic comedy.
The drama focuses on Deborah and how she experiences her whole world view crumbling down.
Being centered around its female lead, the drama needed strong performances to be able to pull it off, and, indeed, Yoo In Na does a great job monopolizing each and every scene.
The rest of the cast is enjoyable as well, with the side characters being especially entertaining.
However, when it came to the story, the drama started strong, yes, but did not maintain the momentum. The series started losing each charm episode after episode, with the love story being a slow burn, and the plot going in circles.
So, overall, six out of ten.

This is the best romance k-drama I watched for a long time. It surprised me in many good ways. Usually I could predict how these romances plots go, not this one. I was not sure how the writer would end the main couple until the last episode. The ups and downs are very real as lives should be. The actings are excellent too. The dialogues are witty. Four different couples exhibit relationship in various stages of lives. The chemistry among the actors and actresses were real. Of course, like any other modern Korean dramas, a lot of drinking scenes. I always wonder if that's true in their society.
When I read that this series was coming, I was truly excited. Touch Your Heart is my all time favorite KDrama. While everything about that show was great, it was Yoo In-Na's acting - her interpretation of her role - that was genius and made the show truly special. Could she pull it off again?
And I was not disappointed! Once again, she was the true driving force behind a series and elevated it to be as good as it possibly good be. Her ability to communicate emotions. The uniqueness of her expressions and the inflections of her voice... Amazing. Thanks to the those who cast her as Deborah!
I fee a bit like a broken record, because Kdrama acting is often so good, but I just have to say it. Everyone cast in this series was phenomenal.
Yoon In Na... Well, I've said it. She makes this story shine and we feel for her throughout the arc of the story.
Yoon Hun-Min as the male lead was so good. Dang, watching his character was so frustrating! So obviously he nailed the role and made it believable no matter how unbelievable it could have been.
Hwang Chan-Sung's role as the ex. I hated his guts! His acting sparked the feelings we were meant to feel.
Park So-Jin was sooo good in Sh**ting Stars.** And she was fantastic here. Her portrayal of a women in a listless marriage truly had our sympathy. I hope to see here as a lead in series to come.
Let's hope we see so much more of Kim Ye-Ji. She is so cute and really did well in what I think is a difficult role - both strong and unsure of herself at the same time.
The story: Once again the Koreans' writing craft is so amazing. This was a tightly woven tapestry of multiple couple's evolving relationships. There was not a dull minute for my wife or I and we could not wait for each new episode. As the story was coming to an end I could not believe we had seen 13 episodes already and we were almost done. No feeling of, "This is starting to drag and I need to fast forward" in this series! I know we won't get it, but Season 2 please!
My one complaint is that at key points, the Male Lead did not communicate and it was just hard to believe. I am sure there are people who are, in a sense, broken like that. But he was given so many chances... Yeah, I know it can happen, I was pretty much that screwed up when I was young. But watching it drove me nuts! Then again, the story had me locked in so the writers obviously know what they are doing. :-)

I never ever seen a movie like this .
Everything is in a right place . We know this kind of loves aren't that much real, but author don't let you think about that just one second.
Always you'll find a new story that can distract you for ages. I don't want to say that this movie is so so so perfect, but it's so so perfect.
The best part about the movie : you can solve a problem in one part of it and you don't have to wait like one weak to find out what's going on.
And about actors, this method in this kind of movies is so important. And they make the best decision about actors.
Main roles are awesome also support roles.
I wish luck for them, but they don't need it, because it pets your hart.

VERY Fun to watch, the ML and FL did an awesome job, the supporting case did a great job too, which makes it a very wholesome watch. Sojin i love you! Dont watch it alone IF ur in a relationship, watch it with your partner, with a glass of wine in hand. You will not only get a LOT of laughs, you will also get to discussing things you never knew you wanted to talk about, but which mattered to either of you. I am so glad that Yoo In-na is getting full on FL roles now. It was interesting to see a Korean drama take on older man younger woman relationship, given how korean society is still conservative in a lot of areas, shows how kdramas are maturing.

Actually, it's more than it! One of the best screenplays of romantic k-dramas I have ever watched (and not only k-dramas, but in general), with strong impact to our lives, superb actresses/actors (Yoo In-na is at the top of her game, but she is not the only one playing beautifully), and funny, funny, funny! I laughed a lot, learned a lot, and enjoyed basically every moment! You will not be disappointed at all! I loved the scene at the restaurant when In-na showed to the main lead her methods of seducing; I laughed, but not only!
All the lines are great, and I hope you'll enjoy them even if you are a k-drama beginner! Thank you, Amazon for it!

This series is utterly captivating, relatable and true to its theme! It's all about love, including ups and downs, as well as the awkward and sometimes humiliating breakup arguments. You can see all that through four distinct couples at different relationship stages. It's not just another rom-com, it's written in a very smart way where its full with references to books, people, shows and characters and that what make the show really enjoyable.
When you watch it, you find yourself giggling and cringing on behalf of the characters, where you smile and feel touched by the situations and scenes. The characters and their storylines are very relatable, as we all recognize that clingy friend who couldn't get over her ex because they didn't have a proper closure.
Everyone is the protagonist of their own love story. A lot of these protagonists think that they're true to their love and they're the ones who's making all the sacrifices just because there is a lack of communication in their relationship. This series is a breath of fresh air, everything about it is lovable, and every scene holds a meaning and one can resonate with it.

Love all the character development and the ending! In the first few episodes I already put an 8/10 because it is so good! The male and the female lead chemistry is too good that I hope they will have a drama again together in the future. Its not just them but all the other actors also did very well, I love how funny this drama is despite some of the sadness but its really worth it. I recommend this drama to those who are in a relationship, somehow it will help you to understand more about yourself and your partner, what to do and what you should not do in relationship. Communication is very important in relationship, especially to women since they tend to overthink. This drama truly shows what happen if we truly have a misunderstanding, and how our decisions may affect others' future too.

All in all this show was pretty entertaining to watch. It was pretty cute and funny and I had myself tearing up at some parts. But there are some things that are really noticeable to the point where I'm like "how could this ever actually happen?" Like men constantly following the women home, Deborah waking up in absolutely perfect makeup, characters continuously overhearing others talking about them. Characters randomly showing up at times where it would be such a huge coincidence but it happens multiple times. It makes it unrealistic and off putting which is unfortunate because this show could be so much better without all of that.
At first, I I thought the plot and acting to be repetitive, upon watching, I realized that this is THE authentic take on modern love.
At times, it was hard to watch because of how much you can feel the desperation and just how pathetic we tend to get when it comes to love and wanting to be accepted. It was authentic and raw, and the love story felt real and flawed. I loved the comedic relief which felt like the sort of jokes you get between real friends. It doesn't matter how much effort you put into something cause If it's not meant for you, it won't work out. What one person couldn't do for you in a year another could do in a month.
Absolutely loved this show!

Loved this Rom-Com (called "True to Love" on Amazon), which doesn't disappoint. It has lots of comical moments that will make you laugh. The ML Yoon Hyun-Min does a great job at playing the handsome, smart, successful publisher VP who has the personal problem of not being able to vocalize his true feelings to a woman and gets dumped. The FL does a great job as well who is a dating coach and author but gets dumped herself. There are side love stories in their circle that are just as fun to watch and comical situations to make you laugh. The reason I didn't give it 10 stars is that I think the script went too far with the May/Dec crush/romance of the barely an adult and the mature CEO of the publishing company.

I haven't seen such a good romance in a long time.
A light, interesting, cute and well-constructed romance. Is it an improved (much better and deeper) mix of Bridget Jones's Diary, Pride and Prejudice with touches of Sex and the City? Yeah, maybe not the latter.
Congratulations to the producers, screenwriters, director and cast. You guys did it masterfully.
And the cute Yoo In-na makes all the difference.
And her partner made a perfect couple (actor Yoon Hyun-min).
The romance is so well constructed that you can't stop watching, and you end up watching one episode after the next. And the series delivers what it promises. It is sincere with the audience when it shows us the emotional growth of the characters.
