A new and fresh approach to Ozzie drama

I absolutely enjoyed this series.

The writers/directors/creators brought to the screen, characters and elements that are often overlooked in Australian filming - minority groups. From my point of view, there is certainly nothing wrong with a female hero in film-making! I believe there are true life lessons to be learned from diversity. The requirement there is to be open-minded.

The cinematography was well-done. Took me back to when I lived in Melbourne, twenty odd years ago. I also enjoyed the bits of humour thrown in there!

I am looking forward to seeing what Elsie, Robert and crew bring in the next series.

Killer!!

I really enjoyed seeing the diversity on screen!! Just goes to show when you give people of color a chance they will smash it out of the park!! Cliff Curtis is hilarious!!!! This is Real Australia!! I wish it was on an international streaming service because I feel like nobody knows SBS outside of Australia and it's not gonna get the exposure it needs because of it!!

I really love the mechanics character to , It's amazing watching a badass woman calling the shots but not sacrificing any femininity to fit in with all the men that surround her!

Overall I really fun watch I really hope there is a second season!!

Another win for an Aussie short series.

Great Aussie series which leaves you wanting more. The main two lead characters are brilliant in their roles and Tanzyn Crawford who plays Elsie will surely have a bright acting future ahead of this and look forward to seeing her in more roles. The rest of the cast work well together and set the scene for a very realistic story. I grew up in the surrounding suburbs to this location and worked in the area it was filmed in and it was represented very well. I think regardless of whether the scenery is familiar or not it can be enjoyed by anyone. Love this style of story telling done locally and hope to see more of it.

Just loved it

I binged watched the series on SBS not my usual thing but loved the drama/ comedy and it had every social topic of today rolled into one. Violent in places and it also showed a softer side of relationships between people.

From broken relationships, unable to find a home, unable to pay bills, debt collectors. Family breakdown, community values.

An interesting Aussie series but certainly portrayed the multi cultural growth now in the suburbs.

I gave it 9 and will probably rewatch the series again.

I enjoyed all the characters and they all did a great job portraying their characters. Hope we see more series like this.

Quite good

SBS is a genius in the hidden gems it seems to create out of nowhere. After they created safe home you had to wonder where they would go and they went deep into crime and it was quite good.

I don't understand why it only rates as a 6 on here? Deserves a higher rating because of the high stakes drama and how many times you can rewatch in one sitting.

Melbourne is also such a great spot for finding this filming gems and the show uses the city as the villain too and that's crazy but the characters are doing everything they can to survive a crazy world.

Sit down over an afternoon and grab a popcorn the shows good.
