In the more than a month since the Season 1 finale of High Potential, audiences around the world have managed to keep the series at the top of the charts on both Hulu and Disney+. Its growing following has solidified it as one of the most successful new titles to come over the last year, and the fact that it didn’t receive a back-half of episodes (likely due to Kaitlin Olson’s busy schedule), has kept audiences hung up on the cliffhanger. While we know that a second season is on the way, little has been revealed about the timing and when we can expect to see the continuation of Morgan’s (Olson) story on our screens. Thankfully, Olson gave audiences a look into the process, while addressing attendees at a Q&a following a screening in London.

There’s plenty to check out on broadcast TV tonight, Tuesday, March 18. Take a look at everything airing throughout the three hours of primetime.
Tuesday nights are packed with new TV shows. There is some bad news for fans of a particular medical drama, as there is a season finale tonight. We’re also getting closer to the end of another season of a popular reality series.
4 shows to watch and 1 to skip tonight (March 18)
It isn’t possible to watch everything live, so we need to find shows that we need to watch live and others that we can wait until the next day. While there are three hours of primetime, it is possible to stay up and watch an extra hour or TV if you don’t need to get up for work too early. Also, if you’re in Canada, just know that Global TV currently airs FBI: International at 7 p.

While CBS has made some big moves in the 2024–2025 TV season, other networks have not. ABC has opted not to cancel or renew too many of its lineup. Granted, that's partly because some shows didn't arrive until January 2025, but there are still many ABC shows on the bubble.
At the time of writing this, only High Potential and Abbott Elementary have been renewed. ABC's schedule is a little light when it comes to scripted shows, but there are still six on the bubble. Which ones are likely to be renewed, and which ones are at risk of cancellation?
ABC shows likely canceled: The Rookie, Grey's Anatomy
I hate to say it, but there are two scripted shows that are most at risk at the moment. The Rookie and Grey's Anatomy are the least-watched scripted shows this year. I had hoped that The Rookie's move to the earlier timeslot would help,...

The Rookiehas become something more than a standard police procedural, in which characters train to become police officers before getting promoted to the rank of detective. This is the formula of many police procedurals, but The Rookie stands out because it focuses more on the beat cop experience.
Producers have said that The Rookie Season 7 represents a "pivot" back to the original premise of the series, with new rookies in the cast. The addition of two new training officers continues to deliver the grounded stories that audiences love, along with the character dramas and romances that have made The Rookie a television mainstay.

Tuesday, March 11 will be a big event for Celina, as she takes on her new solo assignment on The Rookie, season 7, episode 9, "The Kiss." She completed her rookie training and is approaching her next career chapter. It's not going to go smoothly, but with help from a colleague, Celina might succeed. I surely hope so, because every officer deserves to prove themselves on the force and achieve.

Like a tornado, High Potential fiercely tore its way through the 2024-2025 broadcast television season. The show quickly rose to the top of everyone’s “Watch” list.
From its impeccable writing to casting talented actors to play likable characters, the series has rewritten the book on how to make a police procedural exciting without reverting to over-the-top drama.
So, how in the world could High Potential improve itself when the show is already a hit across the board?
(Pamela Littky/Disney)
First, we are using the term “improve” rather loosely. If anything, there’s nothing to take away from the series. It’s more about adding to what makes High Potential such a fantastic series.
To start, as great as it is to see Miss Mama Morgan looking like a pro at juggling work and family, it would be even better to see how she was before becoming a fierce mama bear.

“We’re Going To Answer That Question”: ‘High Potential’ Season 2’s Storyline Gets an Exciting Update
High Potential Season 1 might have succeeded in entertaining viewers with Morgan (Kaitlin Olson) and her interesting condition, but the show barely scratched the surface of the character and other characters. The 13-episode season was not enough to properly explore relationships. However, High Potential's showrunner Todd Harthan told TV Line that some questions will be answered when the show returns for Season 2. One of them is what happened between Morgan and the father of her two younger children, Ludo (Taran Killam). The season showed them co-parenting successfully but never explained how they got there. “I think the audience has a real appetite to find out what really happened,” Harthan said. He previewed the creative team's challenge in Season 2, saying:...

By the time High Potential wrapped its first season on ABC, Kaitlin Olson’s character was basically drowning in eligible bachelors.
Many fans are pulling for Morgan to end up with Karadec (Daniel Sunjata), her new partner at the LAPD, while others are curious to see where things go between Morgan and Tom (Jd Pardo), the janitor-turned-nurse with whom she was getting hot and heavy before he relocated to San Diego for work. Heck, people are even ‘shipping Morgan with David Giuntoli’s mystery character, who has only gotten about 30 seconds of screen time — and we don’t even know his name yet!

To pilot or not to pilot has been a question broadcast networks have been asking themselves for more than a decade and are increasingly answering ‘no’ to, especially when it comes to the traditional pilot season in the months leading to the May upfronts. We haven’t gotten a single pilot order in 2025 so far. While that is about to change with a handful of orders coming up, the pilot drought has been persistent amid an industry contraction and linear viewing decline, especially as the networks are still dealing with the backlog caused by strike-related delays.
Broadcasters these days often opt for economically efficient planted spinoffs that shoot as regular episodes of existing drama and comedy series or for development rooms and straight-to-series orders, primarily on the drama side. That is ironic because most of the biggest new drama hits of the last two seasons, CBS’ Tracker and Matlock and ABC’s High Potential,...

When Kaitlin Olson announced that she would be leading a linear television series on a major broadcaster, in one of ABC’s newest projects, High Potential, fans were cautiously optimistic. For nearly two decades, we’ve known her as Sweet Dee Reynolds, a member of the raucous and outrageous group of friends at the center of FX’s smash-hit dark comedy series,It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. When she broke out on her own the first time around via the gone-too-soon Fox series, The Mick, viewers initially flocked to the title, but the numbers just couldn’t keep it alive and thriving past the second season mark. But, that doesn’t seem like it will be an issue for High Potential, as nearly one month since the first season celebrated its finale, the show is still in Disney+ and Hulu’s Top 10 charts around the world.

One of the most popular series on the air right now is ABC's High Potential. When a precinct janitor with a genius Iq becomes involved in a case, she ends up going from janitor to police consultant. Morgan's new role allows her to provide for her three kids and investigate the cold case of her missing ex-husband.
High Potential has had one season so far. Fans were overjoyed to hear the series had been renewed for an upcoming second season. While fans of High Potential wait for Season 2, these 10 series would be great to watch in the meantime.

Fox has given an early, 22-episode Season 2 renewal to breakout freshman medical drama Doc, starring Molly Parker.
This is a rare full-season order of that size in the new broadcast era where seasons often consist of 13-18 episodes. The last Fox drama to produce 22 episodes was the network’s previous medical show, The Resident, which delivered 23 during the 2021-22 season.
What makes Doc‘s pickup size even more unusual is that it is given to a series that launched in midseason. As they only air for a couple of months, these freshmen have smaller orders, between eight and 13 episodes. (Doc‘s was 10.) That is not considered fully adequate for a show to prove itself, so midseason newbies typically receive a 13-episode Season 2 renewal that could be extended with additional episodes if the series returns strong in the fall. Doc joins very few midseason entries that have earned straight full-season Season 2 pickups,...

The NCIS Season 22, Episode 13 cast had a surprising revelation.
Fletcher Voss returned for the February 24 episode, bringing the billionaire back for more drama.
The new episode was called Bad Blood.
It focused on the murder of a Navy lieutenant who had tried to subdue a drugged-out man at a mobile blood bank.
Through their investigation, the NCIS team discovered that the man had destroyed many blood donations to cover up stealing a specific one.
Superscientist Kasie Hines determined the missing sample was from Lauren Hawthorn. And she was tracked back to a familiar person: Fletcher Voss.
Who was Fletcher Voss on NCIS?
During the 1,000th NCISverse episode, Director Leon Vance was shot, and several explosions were set off in Washington, D.C.
Fletcher Voss was inadvertently wrapped up in that case. He was the man who created Bandium (the program NCIS agents used to alert and chat with one another).

Tuesday nights are packed with new TV shows. Here’s a look at everything airing on the networks tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 25.
Every network has new episodes of shows. At least, every show that still has new episodes to air. ABC continues to keep the last timeslot of the night open for reruns instead of a new series. This could change in the near future, but for now, the High Potential reruns seem to be preferred.
Doc, FBI: Most Wanted, and more
Let’s take a look at some of the shows to air tonight. Doc is the one to watch if you want a medical drama. Fox’s new series brings a slightly fresh take, with a stern Chief of Surgery who is forced to restart her career and figure out who she is now after losing her memories from the last eight years.
The latest episode will see something that we somewhat suspected.

Like it or not, network TV series typically live and die by their Nielsen ratings. Since most fans do not live in Nielsen households, the average person's preferences aren't taken into account, and that is frustrating. While we can't change the system, we want to give you an outlet for your opinions, so we invite you to vote for your favorite scripted 2024-25 network TV shows here. Kaitlin Olson is one of the unsung comedic actors of our day. Yes, she's been in one of the longest-running scripted comedy series of all time with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but at times it's felt like she's been doing amazing work for a tiny audience, locked away in the Fxx closets. She tried to break through into a bigger mainstream with Fox's sitcom The Mick, which began strong with nearly nine million live viewers before dropping to two million and staying that way. There have been other fits and starts throughout a career full of great supporting characters, but Olson's never experienced the glowing success she's deserved until High Potential, which just ended its first season on ABC and broke a bevy of records along the way.

ABC’s breakout hit High Potential closed out its debut season on a massive high, delivering record-breaking ratings and cementing its place as one of the network’s biggest successes in years. The show stars Kaitlin Olson (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) as Morgan, a gifted but messy single mother who unexpectedly lands a job as a consultant for the police after she helps crack a tough case. Despite having no formal detective training, Morgan’s exceptional ability to see patterns and solve puzzles makes her an invaluable asset to law enforcement. So for all of us who binge true crime podcasts, maybe there is still hope for us, too?...

A season of ratings success for ABC’s High Potential ended with (another) high note.
The crime drama’s Feb. 11 season finale tied the show’s season high in total viewers and set a new high in the key ad-sales demographic of adults 18-49. After seven days of multi-platform viewing, the episode — which introduced a potential ongoing nemesis for Morgan (Kaitlin Olson) — drew 13.2 million viewers, tying the mark the show set in mid-January.
Among adults 18-49, the finale scored a 2.59 rating (equivalent to about 3.47 million people in the demographic), about 6 percent higher than High Potential’s previous best.
The finale brought in 8.7 million viewers over seven days on linear TV (including DVR playback), which would mean about 4.5 million people streamed the episode via Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ and other digital platforms. Streaming accounted for just over a third (34 percent) of the total audience.

ABC stunned fans last year when it announced an unscripted-heavy fall schedule.
9-1-1, Abbott Elementary, Doctor Odyssey, Grey’s Anatomy, and High Potential were the only five scripted shows to get premiere dates in the fall.
The Rookie, Shifting Gears, and Will Trent were held until midseason, leaving fans confused and irate.
(David Bukach/Disney)
At the time, the Disney-owned network seemed to be considering scaling back on scripted programming in favor of cheaper, unscripted offerings.
With TV ratings flatlining across the board, the networks must get scrappy to ensure they’re making enough money to succeed.
(Carlos Lopez-Calleja/Disney)
The good news is that despite some soft ratings in the scripted front in the fall, many of ABC’s shows have picked up considerable steam in 2025.
High Potential and Will Trent are standouts because they’ve shown tremendous growth, showcasing that certain dramas still play well on broadcast TV.

Tuesday nights are changing slightly. Take a look at everything to watch on broadcast networks tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 18.
High Potential wrapped its first season last week. ABC hasn’t decided to put on another show. Instead, The Rookie is being pulled forward by a timeslot, which could be the best thing for the series.
The Rookie, Deal or No Deal Island, and more
When High Potential returned after its winter break, it moved into the middle timeslot of the night. This is a good timeslot for a lot of shows. Grey’s Anatomy might be the longest-running scripted series on ABC’s primetime line-up, but the beloved medical drama doesn’t seem to be in danger of going anywhere anytime soon.
While the show’s linear ratings have slipped this season with the show’s move to the 10 p.m. closing spot, Grey’s Anatomy remains one of the most successful shows not just broadcast, but of all shows. In fact, the show finished 2024 as the second-most popular streaming show of 2024 behind only Bluey. Still, despite the show’s continued success, it’s natural for fans to worry about whether its time on air could be nearing an end.
The good news is that there doesn’t seem to be any end in sight for Grey’s Anatomy and the show most certainly will not be ending with its current 21st season!

So when I heard she was leading “High Potential,” I was immediately in, and the comedic crime procedural did not disappoint. Olson brings her signature charm, wit, and impeccable comic timing to the role of Morgan, a single mom with a brilliant (Iq over 160) but unconventional mind who helps the police crack tough cases. It’s part crime procedural, part comedy, part heartfelt… and full fun.
If you just watched the season finale of “High Potential” and need something to fill the void, don’t worry — I’ve got you covered. Whether you’re craving more quirky detectives, crime-solving with a side of humor, or just a show that balances mystery with great character moments, there are plenty of other crime dramedies worth streaming.

From its first episode, there has always been an echoing quality to “Mythic Quest,” Apple TV+’s comedy about the sacrifices, victories and heartbreaks of trying to make a career in art. For a long time, those voices were loudest around Charlotte Nicdao’s Poppy, a brilliant and passionate game developer whose arc was reminiscent of that of series co-creator Megan Ganz.
Ganz first started working with Rob McElhenney and David Hornsby during Season 12 of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” a series she used to love watching in college. However, it wasn’t until “Mythic Quest” that she developed a creative partnership with McElhenney. Much like Poppy, Ganz had to figure out how to work with a creator she had admired for years.
“We just put in a lot of like our own selves into it. The reality of the situation was I had been watching him on TV for...

Daniel Sunjata and Kaitlin Olson in ‘High Potential’ episode 13 (Disney/Mitch Hasseth)
ABC’s High Potential episode 13, the season one finale, opens with Ludo giving Ava a driving lesson. Morgan (Kaitlin Olson) is freaked out and asks the detectives to take note of her license plate and pull her daughter over whenever they see her. She’s certain Ava will take after her and definitely won’t be a safe driver.
Lt. Selena Soto (Judy Reyes) reminds everyone to RSVP for the Police Gala; no one’s allowed to miss it. She wants Major Crimes well represented at the party.
The LAPD tipline forwards an email to Adam (Daniel Sunjata) that’s super concerning. The attachment shows a man named Spencer Wallace tied up to a chair, holding a sign that reads: “Two hours to make your move.” The detectives assume it’s some sort of game but aren’t...

Note: This story contains spoilers from “High Potential” Season 1, Episode 13.
The “High Potential” Season 1 finale left viewers with more questions than answers, but showrunner Todd Harthan promised to address those cliffhangers at the start of Season 2.
“We have a pretty healthy plan for how we’re going to kick off the season,” Harthan told TheWrap. “I think one of the big mistakes that shows make is [saying] ‘Oh, let’s put a pin in both those cliffhangers, and we’ll get to them later,’ … you should probably satisfy one or the other so the audience doesn’t get pissed.”
After Morgan (Kaitlin Olson), Karadec (Daniel Sujata) and the rest of the LAPD spent the Season 1 finale investigating a game-obsessed criminal, the mysterious suspect showed off his game to Morgan, coming face-to-face with her before warning they’ll play again soon. After introducing this new serial killer villain to “High Potential,” Harthan...
