I have an actual brain injury. This is not what it is like at all. I hate the non sense where people get up and walk the day after cranial surgery. Brain injury is horrible. Many of us end up unable to walk for years, not hours. The healing journey is years and is slow and painful. It would make for boring tv to see how we really struggle. But to make light of it like this is disgusting. No respect for actual people that go through this. The heartache. The medical bills. The bankruptcy. Being homeless. The panic from the confusion. The disrespect and misunderstanding from everyone around you. That is real. This is stupid and really makes me mad that this is what tv producers think brain injury is really like. Ruins it for people who are actually struggling with the very real problems totally ignored in this ridiculous and insulting show.
