Its a poignant tale about care giver and her Alzheimer patient.
Amazing short film, controlled story telling. Naseruddin shah, rasika duggal playing their part well as patient and caretaker to perfection. In less than 25 minutes One gets a birds eyeview of a life of a patient with Alzheimer and the caretaker.
Reminds me of my grandmother who had it. She used to forget people, suddenly demanded to know who they were and what they were doing there. Sometimes remembered old things was nostalgic, angry and would go through the entire emotion roller-coaster.
This is about all that and more, but wait for the twist.
Who takes care of who.

For me, the basic motif for see this short film was the presence in cast of Nasreeddin Shah. Not only for acting virtues but for special air of the films having him as part. The Broken Table is not an exception.
It is one of Indian short films not telling a story but reminding pieces of others. And proposing a sort of advise, in fair, gentle, precise manner.
A film about love and honesty to yourself, about a missunderstanding and a day near a venerable ex lawyer, affected by dementia, who gives to his karegiver, confunded with a client, a precious perspective about marriage essence.
In short, just a beautiful film.

Good story.
Naseeruddin sahab as usual has amazing sense and his delivery is strong and impact full. This is a must watch movie. While you are busy these days working your way out this gives you the required break and enhances your mood and let's you enjoy with your loved ones. The story will take you to a backlash in your own time through which you feel as if it is your own story.
So sit back and relax with your family, make some popcorn and watch this beautiful, elegant story along with your loved ones munching the delicious popcorn while the story would lead you to a Roller coaster ride where you can relate the same with your life.
