Fun

I'm watching this series for the first time in 2024. It is enjoyable so far although Sherlock is very much over the top and I can actually take him in small doses only. Normally I can watch at least 5-6 episodes of most series in a row when I have nothing else to do but with Sherlock I can max out at 3..hahaha.

I rather enjoyed this episode because the focus was on officer Bell and it was great character development for him. Although I must say the "perp" was a little obvious from the beginning.

I also enjoyed the start of the episode between Sherlock and Watson. His testing of Watson's ability to defend herself was heart warming. And of course Sherlock-esc.

Holmes worries about Watson's ability to defend herself. Ironically, Lucy Liu is a black belt in wushu and has practiced multiple forms of martial arts since she was a child.

Goofs
Holmes says that he can tell that the sub-machine-gun fired at Detective Bell had a rifled barrel rather than smooth-bore. All guns have rifled barrels. The reason it is possible to tell that a bullet was fired from a rifled barrel from the bullet holes is because bullets fired from guns without it tend to hit the target sideways, with much less force and no accuracy.
