After watching this drama, I personally feel quite disappointed. The script is too convoluted and has too many storylines. Starting from the middle episodes, when they begin to introduce the background of the female lead, they cram in too many plotlines at once. This made it very difficult for me to follow and gave me a headache.
It's really a pity for the actors, who portrayed their roles with such dedication. For instance, Jang Hyuk's character's emotions were a bit too monotonous when dealing with his wife, lacking depth. The interactions between Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara's characters were very poorly executed. The interactions between the male and female leads were designed poorly, which is disappointing because they should have had more chemistry, especially since this isn't their first time playing a married couple. Their casting was very fitting, but the flawed plot design hindered the overall quality of the show.

Korean Drama " Family: The Unbreakable Bond " is a drama about family (obviously), mystery, action, and suspense.
The drama does a good job of creating a nice family environment. The bonds between the family members provide the plot with many comical scenes and aid with the emotional build up.
On the other hand, and oddly enough, the couple didn't have much dynamic to work with. This tells a lot about the success of the drama, as the main leads were the killer point of the series, being a famous acting couple and all.
On the other hand, the mystery of the wife's past was intriguing and was well handled. It provided the plot with a lot of action scenes and suspenseful moments as well.
The performances, moreover, were pretty enjoyable by everyone in the cast.
However, the story lacked consistency and enjoyment in some of its episodes.
So, overall, five out of ten.

The plot is very interesting and potentially can be very good.
But yet somehow they focus too much on trying to make this international where it loses the common sense.
When the show reveals the background of the main female character on how she escapes from a snowy camp to wandering the local street of Thailand is a mood kill for me. And then she also living her teenager era in Thailand and when she speaks Thai I could not understand a word she says. And continue to the male lead when he speaks english I couldn't understand what he said and this is a major mood kill when the show is trying too hard to push these actors with language barrier. And the sad part is that I really love these cast and they are very good when they're doing scenes in their native language.
The show also focus a little too much on a tiny issue when there's a bigger issue they're facing. I was disappointed because I love Studio Dragon but this is just another let down.

This show is horrible. Jan Na Ra needs to quit family. I don't like her character I think she needs to disappear already. I know it's a show, although I hate her with a passion. The show is okay it could be better but I don't want to get into the details. I gave it three stars because I don't like the character Jan Na Ra plays Kan Yoo Ra. She needs to disappear and I hope she goes to hell. Excuse me for my language but this is how I feel when there's characters I dislike the most, and honestly I feel like I might have hard time controlling myself. Because of the characters I don't like. Honestly, it would been nice if this show was better without the character Kan Yoo Ra. I don't want to see her face.
This drama comes as a savior from the rottenness of netorare themes in a surprising way: it doesn't highlight them at all. The solid, unwavering plot focuses on family values and the tension of a paramilitary story set in an Asian setting that is both educational and refreshing. The drama shifts the spotlight from potentially destructive themes to more inspiring ones, showing how family relationships and teamwork in the face of danger can actually be a strong story core.
Jang Na Ra's action scenes, especially her long-haired shooting scenes, are a special highlight that reinforces the main character's toughness.
In terms of ratings, this drama could be worth a 10 if the romance aspect between Do Hoon and Yoo Ra was emphasized more. Their dynamic as a tough couple with a strong emotional bond has the potential to be a deeper and more interesting aspect. This might give a new dimension to their love story, which also strengthens the drama's main themes of trust, loyalty, and family.
Great work, folks!
