A middle aged couple living in a small town find that they are quarreling and arguing most of the time. Both have not been able to pursue their individual passions after marriage. He had aspired to be a singer while she wanted to establish a market for Indian perfumes. During one of their bitter quarrels they decide to divorce. Their grown up son who works in the city nearby gets the shock of his life when he hears that they have actually planned to divorce each other.
