I remember watching Part 2 in Hmong language assumed it was part 1, dubbed by YKM production at the time. Thanks Poj Arnon and YKM for this film and it's dubbing & English subtitles, my childhood to be good and filled with laughter. Hmong people only dub 1-4 2012 cuz most big Hmong dub business retired. Wished all 6-10 2024 had English subtitles and dubbed in English too. Song in the end of Sao by a Pop Trio in the 80s.
Love the LGBTQ community queer signs. Great recommended for all people to watch! Please Netflix help do English dubbing for the rest up to 10 parts. Hopefully we get an 11th film.

I love slap stick comedy. I haven't watched a good one in 20 years. I really love the characters. It isnt as much about the story line as its about the ridiculousness and humor from beginning to end. This looks like these actors are having a ball making this movie. Its a fun movie. They make fun of everyone. No holding back. They Make fun of many movies. U cant have this kind of humor in America anymore. To many cry babies screaming im offended. Its good humor. Good fun to watch. Thank you Thailand for cranking these out. Im a huge pancake fan! His character cracks me up. Special affects are really good they are basic not over done. They have left in some bloopers in the finished movie which is great. Many more at the end of these movies. U either like slap stick silly comedy or u dont. If u like slap stick comedy these are the movies for you. If u are not a "blazing saddles" or "the villian" or "the three stooges" fan, these are not movies for u. This comedy style reminds me of the movies i mentioned. Just silly funny Road runner and coyote,3 stooges, bugs bunny type humor. I have watched 3 of these franchise movies. I believe there is 4 or 5 of these movies.
I didn't realize when I started this movie that it was the second in a series, so for a good chunk of the movie I was very lost as to who was who, and what was happening. That's my own fault though, and I'm not rating based on that. 'Oh My Ghosts' is crazy and has lots of gag humor, and held my attention from start to finish. Lots of that involved asking "Who is Pancake?" and "Wait, can ghosts do that?", but by the end I was glad to have watched. I'm not the biggest fan of slapstick/gag humor, and this movie has lots of that. Some did get a chuckle out of me however, and I'm curious to watch the remaining films in the franchise.
I stumbled upon this 2009 Thai horror comedy in 2022, and without knowing anything about the movie then I sat down to watch it. Sure, why not? I mean, it was a Thai horror comedy that I hadn't already seen, so of course I wanted to watch it.
Granted, I haven't seen the 2007 movie "Hor taew tak" so I don't know how much of a continuation this 2009 movie is, or if it is stand-alone movie entirely. But I didn't feel that I was lacking anything in terms of information or character lore to be enjoying this 2009 sequel.
Writer and director Poj Arnon actually managed to deliver a wholesome script that proved to be enjoyable and funny. It was a combination of slapstick comedy, funny characters and great casting that really made "Hor taew tak 2" (aka "Oh My Ghosts") work so well.
Despite having seen a fair share of Thai movies, then I can't claim to be familiar with anyone on the cast list, aside from Kohtee Aramboy (playing Pancake/Panda). But I will say that the actors and actresses were nicely cast for the movie and put on great performances.
"Hor taew tak 2" is not a horror comedy that relies heavily on special effects, but the effects that were in the movie, both CGI and practical, were functioning well and served the movie nicely.
I was genuinely entertained by this movie, and I am certainly looking forward to seeing the numerous other movies in the franchise.
My rating of "Hor taew tak 2" lands on a six out of ten stars.
