Film Review - The Longest Most Meaningless Movie in the World A surreal experiment in cinematic endurance, The Longest Most Meaningless Movie in the World lives up to its title with a runtime of over 48 hours and a collage of unrelated, often nonsensical footage. As a critique of media saturation and narrative fatigue, it challenges the viewer's patience more than it entertains. It's less a film and more a conceptual performance piece-ambitious, provocative, and, indeed, meaningless. While few will finish it, even fewer will forget the absurdity of the attempt.

    A film from Hel (sinki)

The official plot description of this 240 hours long experimental installation read: "Apart from being present in our everyday lives, quietly changing for ten days, the film's time races ahead at an estimated several-hundred-year gallop each day. The film is a fiction about what could happen to the Stora Enso building as an architectural and ideological symbol, over the next few thousands of years, if the days of humankind come to an end, and only time and the weather affect the building."

Modern Times Forever was shown only once, beginning at 20:00 local time, on Wednesday, 23 March 2011, and projected onto a 40 square metres screen in front of the block-like Stora Enso Building in Helsinki, Finland. It apparently showed the hypothetical ravages of thousands of years of decay of the building itself, the architectural structure itself. The makers, in a rambling promotional video, claim the film is "about time, architecture, and modernism", and this film is "a piece of architecture", and that it is " not the point to watch it from beginning to end", but to "experience the architecture of this public space"

An experimental art film? An art installation? Or just stupid? By the way, this was produced by the same people responsible for the fairly self explanatory Burning Car, and Flooded McDonald's.

    Best Horror Movie Ever

Truth be told this is a long movie and that's ok. If you mange to sit through 240 hours of pure terror and concentrate on what's happened you should have realised by then that the moral of it all is time is precious and you shouldn't waste it. Also take a moment at the end to realise the fact that you just watched a friggin 10day long film. Truly a masterclass in horror. I mean the beard you will have grown and the stench that will have accumulated is terrifying and adds to the atmosphere of the film. A must watch for anybody who loves film and wants a masterclass. Just like the movie though by the time you have finished reading this you should've realised yet again that this is wasted time.

The most emotional 10 days of my life.

Modern Times Forever (2011) is the only movie that has made me cry. To see the ever slow decay of Helsinki's Stora Enso headquarters building, is just so heart breaking. It's really a character study of the Helsinki's Stora Enso headquarters building. It starts off as a strong sturdy building, it has hope in the world, but slowly you see the character's deterioration because of the world it's in. It really shows how cruel this planet we live in is. There's just so much development in this 240 hour movie. You see it coming, but it still hits hard once the movie is over and you just witness the complete breakdown of our protagonist you've grown so close to in those 240 hours. I think this is a movie everyone needs to experience. The cinematography is some of the best I've seen, with the movie basically being shot in mostly long unbroken takes, and the acting from the Helsinki's Stora Enso headquarters building is worthy of an Oscar. This is truly a movie everyone needs to experience. The only reason I don't give this a 10 is because it's too emotional. I can't give a movie I only watched once a 10. It left me a wreck afterwards I couldn't sleep for days because of it, but I can promise you I'm a better person after watching this.
