Chris Pratt almost starred in a Field of Dreams TV show, but abruptly left the $15 million per episode project. The Peacock series was in development with Parks and Recreation creator Mike Schur before Pratt's departure. The show might have been a hit for Peacock if not for Pratt's exit.
Chris Pratt was reportedly almost the lead of a Field of Dreams TV show. The Field of Dreams movie, which premiered in 1989, was based on the 1982 W. P. The Terminal List's twist ending with Ben Edwards was handled differently from the book, making the character more sympathetic and morally complex. Taylor Kitsch's portrayal of Edwards in the TV show was likable and intriguing, leading to the spinoff series Dark Wolf exploring his backstory. Dark Wolf can expand on the Capstone conspiracy and add depth to the fictional world of The Terminal List by exploring Edwards' motivations and role in the conspiracy.

While The Terminal List premiered in 2022 to a mixed bag of reviews, many fans fell instantly in love with the Chris Pratt-driven series. This action-packed political thriller showed us that Pratt had some serious acting chops beyond his often comedic roles. Unsurprisingly, the show was quickly renewed for a second season, but that wasn't all. In addition to bringing The Terminal List back for more, the prequel series has been greenlit starring both Pratt and Taylor Kitsch, who played Ben Edwards in the first season. Titled The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, the prequel begins production this year, much to our delight. But is Dark Wolf based on a book like the original series? Well, no, but that shouldn't be a concern.

In a deal made last week, Amazon MGM Studios has landed Mercy, a package with Chris Pratt attached to star, according to an insider with knowledge. Timur Bekmambetov (“Wanted”) will direct the sci-fi thriller from a script penned by Marco van Belle (“Arthur & Merlin”).
This project comes to Amazon MGM Studios from Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe Award-winning producer Charles Roven (“American Hustle”), who received a second Academy Award nomination for Best Picture most recently on “Oppenheimer.” Roven will produce Mercy with Atlas Entertainment SVP Robert Amidon as part of the producing team alongside Bekmambetov’s Bezelevs and film producer Majd Nassif.
The film is targeting a spring start-of-production. Set in the near future when capital crime has increased, “Mercy” follows a detective (Pratt) who is accused of a violent crime and forced to prove his innocence.

Exclusive: Amazon MGM Studios has just landed a big sci-fi film package it is setting a global theatrical release for in Mercy, starring Chris Pratt, directed by Timur Bekmambetov and produced by Oscar-nominated producer Charles Roven. I understand the deal closed in the past week with a spring start of production planned.

The movie also reps a reunion for Pratt and Bekmambetov, who both worked on the latter’s 2008 Hollywood directorial debut Wanted, a $342 million-grossing, Oscar-nominated blockbuster based on Mark Millar’s comic book.

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf is a prequel to the popular series and will focus on the backstory of the character Ben Edwards, played by Taylor Kitsch. This prequel will give Kitsch the leading role he has deserved since Friday Night Lights and allow him to showcase his talent in a more complex and morally ambiguous character. The inclusion of Chris Pratt in The Terminal List: Dark Wolf ensures that the new show will maintain the same tone and feel as the original series.

Chris Pratt's Prime Video hit The Terminal List is expanding with a prequel series titled The Terminal List: Dark Wolf. The prequel series will feature Pratt's James Reece and Taylor Kitsch's Ben Edwards, with production starting soon. Fans had a positive response to the prequel series announcement, praising Prime Video for delivering old-school masculine action.
Chris Pratt’s testosterone-fueled Prime Video hit The Terminal List is expanding its universe, but not in the way may people expected. While it seemed certain that the next time Pratt’s James Reece would hit screens would be in the second season of the show, which was announced over a year ago soon after the series became a monster hit, instead, it looks like Pratt’s return will first be in the prequel series that was also teased at the time.
