Mark Pritchard and Thom Yorke are teaming up for a new collaborative album. Tall Tales is the name of their first record as a duo, and it will be released on May 9th via Warp Records. In the meantime, the two Englishmen have dropped a new song titled “This Conversation is Missing Your Voice,” which you can listen to below.
The chameleonic electronic producer and Radiohead frontman previously collaborated on a track from Pritchard’s 2016 album Under the Sun titled “Beautiful People.” Last month marked their second official collaboration “Back in the Game,” which Yorke had been performing during concerts throughout 2024.
Along with the album, visual artist Jonathan Zawada (considered an honorary member of the project) has created an accompanying short film to Tall Tales, which has been in development alongside the record for many years, according to a press statement. Both videos for “Back in the Game” and “This...

Radiohead haven’t released an album since 2016, but the band’s frontman, Thom Yorke, has been on an extraordinary run of studio creativity lately, laying down three great albums with the Smile, his band with Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood and jazz drummer Tom Skinner. And it turns out that since 2020, Yorke has been quietly enmeshed in another collaboration, piecing together a sublime new album with veteran electronic producer Mark Pritchard: Tall Tales, due May 9 on Warp Records. It’s accompanied by an intensely trippy animated film by artist Jonathan Zawada,...

Thom Yorke has unveiled a thunderous performance video of his 2025 collab with Mark Pritchard, “Back in the Game.” Watch the clip below, which captures the artists playing the track in Australia last year.
The footage, which was recorded at the Forecourt at the Sydney Opera House during Yorke’s 2024 time on the road, captures “Back in the Game” in a definitively raw format, highlighting the menacing, nightmarish tone of the track. With the assistance of pulsing lights, projections, and a constantly shifting backdrop, the song arguably hits even harder than the studio version. When Yorke begins his lengthy vocalizing toward the end of the song, the acoustics of the Opera House make it feel that much more amplified.
Upon its release to streaming platforms, “Back in the Game” was named our Song of the Week, with our own Jonah Krueger characterizing it as an “eerie, ominous electronic banger” that boasts...

Thom Yorke has teamed up with Mark Pritchard for the new single “Back in the Game,” the second collaboration between the Radiohead singer and the electronic artist.
“Back in the Game” previously debuted onstage last year during Yorke’s “Everything” solo tour of Australia and Asia, with the studio version arriving Thursday along with a video directed by visual artist Jonathan Zawada, who found inspiration from — of all things — a disco movie.

Mark Pritchard has recruited Thom Yorke of The Smile and Radiohead for a new single. Together, the two have unveiled the recording for “Back in the Game,” which was previewed live throughout Yorke’s 2024 solo tour. Take a listen below.
While the two have been frequent creative partners over the past decade, often appearing on each other’s records (like Pritchard’s 2016 single “Beautiful People”) and in live performance settings, “Back in the Game” marks their first proper collaboration. On the track, Pritchard digitally distorted Yorke’s distinct vocals with a H910 Harmonizer, lending an edgy, haunting quality to the song.
The visual was directed by longtime Pritchard collaborator Jonathan Zawada, a creator known for mixing digital and analogue techniques. “I was immediately struck by the deranged bassline that made me think of the final scene of Staying Alive where John Travolta is cockily strutting through the New York streets,...

Three shows into Thom Yorke’s solo Everything tour, the singer has continued to perform track from both his solo, side project and Radiohead catalogs that haven’t been performed in years, or decades, or ever. That trend continued Saturday night in Auckland, New Zealand, where Yorke unearthed Radiohead’s”Sail to the Moon” for the first time in over 16 years.

Thom Yorke began his solo tour of New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, and Japan on Wednesday night in Christchurch, New Zealand, and played a handful of rarities, Radiohead and The Smile cuts, and even a brand new song called “Back in the Game.”
As Yorke alluded to in his recent interview with Double J — where he claimed he didn’t “give a flying fuck” about fans clamoring for Radiohead’s return — he took the stage with a minimalist set-up featuring several large synth machines and a microphone (and no drummer).
He opened the show with an acoustic rendition of the In Rainbows favorite “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi,” and continued with Radiohead’s “I Might Be Wrong.” Yorke went on to play several more Radiohead tracks, including “Packt Like Sardines in a Crushd Tin Box” (which he debuted solo for the first time ever live), “Bloom,” “How to Disappear Completely,” “Daydreaming,” “Everything in its Right Place,...

Son Goku, the Saiyan from Earth, and Saitama, the Caped Baldy, are two of shonen anime's most famous icons, known far and wide for their unimaginable strength. Many fans have debated how a fight between these two would go, with valid points brought up by each side. Thus, Saitama vs. Goku is one of the most heated anime debates ever.
Goku's supporters have a slight edge since Dragon Ball has far more information to pull from over its decades-long history. However, the first season of One-Punch Man alone has enough material to convince Saitama fans that their resident superhero has the skills to topple an elite alien warrior like Goku. An analytical look at each combatant's prowess and experience will answer the question of who would win in a battle of Goku vs. Saitama.

Exclusive: Josie Totah is set as a lead opposite Whitney Cummings and Lisa Kudrow in Good People, Amazon’s half-hour comedy pilot from Empire co-creator Lee Daniels and 2 Broke Girls co-creator Cummings, Amazon Studios and Fox 21 Television Studios.
Written by Daniels and Cummings, Good People revolves around three generations of women — played by Kudrow, Cummings and Totah — working in the ombudsman’s office of a college that navigates the current cultural climate, the concept of feminism across different generations and the struggle to reconcile socially constructed ideas with current ethical views regarding complex issues such as sex, race, class and gender.
Totah plays Tallulah, a confident, perhaps “overly woke” Generation Z student liaison in the ombudsman’s office. If she wasn’t so smart, you’d think she was entitled because she has no problem challenging the older women she works for and educating them when it comes to social injustice.

I genuinely have no idea what to make of Once Upon A Time In Venice. Like, why was it made? Who thought “yes, this is definitely the best we can manage” and released it to the public? Just before I looked up the career of co-writer / director Mark Cullen, I had the creeping realisation that this felt like a double episode of a basic-cable light drama show like “Burn Notice”, only not quite as good; it turns out Cullen has previous form in TV, being the creator of two failed shows (“Back In The Game” and “Mr Robinson”), and also the writer of “Cop Out”, the comedy that director Kevin Smith described as the most miserable experience of his life.
But I feel like Mr Cullen shouldn’t get the lion’s share of the blame for this – that must go to top-billed Bruce Willis, who...

There are a lot of breakout performances in Chris Kelly’s directorial debut “Other People,” from Kelly himself, who wrote and directed the film, based on experiences from his own family life (and somehow managed to do it while also writing on “Saturday Night Live”) to Molly Shannon, who plays a wife and mother grappling with her fast-moving cancer and the knowledge she probably can’t fight it, to Jesse Plemons, who plays a struggling young comedy writer who must deal with his beloved mom’s impending death.

Fox comedy Why Him? has cast of its central characters today in Griffin Gluck, the up-and-comer best known for his roles across Back in the Game and teen musical dramedy Red Band Society.
Word comes by way of Deadline, who report that Gluck has joined a cast that already boasts both James Franco and Trumbo star Bryan Cranston in key roles. In essence, the John Hamburg-directed film centers on the bitter rivalry that spawns between the two leads when, after travelling across country to visit his daughter at college, Cranston’s mild-mannered patriarch is left competing for his daughter’s attention with Franco’s obnoxious and brash billionaire.
So far, so perfect casting. Cranston may have spent five seasons as the apex predator of Albuquerque, but the Emmy award-winning actor has honed his talents portraying the underdog dad in Malcom in the Middle, and Why Him? looks set to...

Mr. Robinson isn’t a show for everyone, which is largely a function of the fact that Welcome Back, Kotter wasn’t for everyone, and owed a lot of the success it had to limited alternatives.
Don’t get me wrong, Welcome Back, Kotter was not only a great show, but it managed a surprising amount of influence on the landscape of television for decades… it just wasn’t for everyone.
Mr. Robinson stars Craig Robinson as a part-time substitute/part-time singer who runs into an old flame and hopes to rekindle things. When he learns that she now teaches at their old High School, he takes the first chance he gets to substitute there.
Mr. Robinson is laid-back almost to a fault… well, probably to a fault. He quickly hints that he wasn’t very serious about school, and hasn’t been very serious about anything since, but he...

NBC, which has struggled with comedy this season, is making a major push in the genre in the summer with two new series, Mr. Robinson and The Carmichael Show, set to debut in August. They will be joined by Welcome To Sweden, which will return for a second season in July.
Last summer, NBC premiered Welcome To Sweden and Undateable, both of which were renewed for a second season. Summer traditionally has been a reserved territory for burn-off shows, so Undateable‘s solid showing was a surprise. (The comedy’s second season recently launched in-season with The Voice as a lead-in.) The final tallies for broadcast TV’s 2013-14 season are in, and The Big Bang Theory enjoyed the biggest gains from Live+7 DVR playback — aka Nielsen family members who watched recorded programs within a week of broadcast. Elsewhere, that Modern Family grew and grew while freshman fare such as The Blacklist and Sleepy Hollow locked in Season 2 renewals with significant surges — though no amount of DVR lovin’ could save Dracula or the Chance clan.

Fox is taking a risk with a unique teen based show, Red Band Society. The show will follow a group of teen who live at the pediatric ward of Ocean Park Hospital. It will follow their laughter and struggles, along with the staff who work with the kids. The show will certainly hold laughter and tears, but should hit all of the right notes for everyone. You can check out the trailer for the series that premiers this fall down below. Here is the official description for the series.
What if a hospital was your high school, boarding school and summer camp rolled into one? What if it was the place where you fell in love for the first time and made friendships that lasted a lifetime? And what if it was all weirdly hilarious and the most fun you ever had in your entire life? This is the world of Red Band Society.
