A certain Ronin might have a few stories left in him on Star Wars: Visions.

While speaking to Collider, Visions actor Brian Tee hinted at the possibility of coming back as his unnamed Ronin in the ongoing anthology series or a different Star Wars story down the road. "Oh, absolutely no question," he said, adding, "And I think, you know, I don't want to give any spoilers, but we are definitely in the works right now, [I'm] probably doing something in the near and distant future, and I'll probably stop there before I go any further."

Exclusive: Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones), Joe Alwyn (The Brutalist), Naledi Murray (Sweet Tooth), Ben Chaplin (September 5) and Sebastian Orozco (The Crow) round out the cast of Sam Esmail’s upcoming film Panic Carefully for Warner Bros.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that, right now, video game adaptations are all the rage. The latest Sonic The Hedgehog movie took that franchise past $1 billion at the box office, The Super Mario Bros. It's a trend that Sony and PlayStation Productions have clearly been paying close attention to, as they just announced cinematic takes on Horizon: Zero Dawn and Helldivers — and a new Ghost Of Tsushima anime series — at their CES 2025 presentation last night.

On an evening that also saw Sony unveil a new look at The Last Of Us Season 2 and confirm that David F Sandberg's upcoming Until Dawn movie will hit cinemas this April, the trifecta of big name new project announcements came as something of a surprise.

Exclusive: Josh Duhamel (Shotgun Wedding), Dylan Sprouse (The Duel) and Til Schweiger (Inglourious Basterds) have just wrapped on the Mississippi production of The Neglected, an action thriller co-written, directed and produced by David Lipper (Murder at Hollow Creek), for which Red Sea Media is handling sales.

In the film, Detective Shaw (Duhamel) is about to retire when he finds out on his last day of work that a serial killer has buried his son alive. He then races against the clock to solve three murders and find his son’s location before he runs out of air.

Also starring Jeremy and Jason London and Elena Sanchez, the film is co-written by Adam G. Levine and Lipper, who produced alongside Robert A. Daly Jr. for Latigo, along with Mark Canton (300), Dorothy Canton, Denise Loren, Mark Fasano and Ryan Winterstern. Exec producers include Roman Kopelevich, Justin Levine, Timothy Alek Mulley, and Kimberly Hines.

A critically acclaimed animated series in the Star Wars universe is finally set to return after well over a year away, bringing with it a slew of both new and returning anime studios.

Per StarWars.com, Disney revealed at the 2024 Disney Apac Content Showcase that Visions Volume 3 will hit streaming next year -- the second confirmed Star Wars show of 2025 after Andor. This season will feature a mix of returning and new collaborations with major Japanese animation studios, with the former including Kamikaze Douga ("The Duel"), Kinema Citrus Co. ("The Village Bride"), Studio Trigger ("The Elder" and "The Twins"), and Production I.G. ("The Ninth Jedi"), from Volume 1. New studios, meanwhile, include David Production (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure), Project Studio Q, Polygon Pictures (Knights of Sidonia), Wit Studio (Spy x Family) and Nima, although footage of Volume 3 has yet to be publicly released.

Late last night, it was announced that the hit anthology series Star Wars: Visions is back with Volume 3. Star Wars shared the announcement at the 2024 Disney Apac Content Showcase, along with some intriguing details about this next entry.

Like the last two seasons, Volume 3 has nine studios creating the shorts, this time returning to Japan like in the first series. Four of the studios are back: Kamikaze Douga, Kinema citrus Co., Production I.G, and Trigger. The other five studios are new to the project. They are David Production, Polygon Pictures, Project Studio Q, Wit Studio, and Anima, the last teaming up with Kamikaze Douga.

In Volume 1, Kamikaze Douga+ created "The Duel," Kinema Citrus made the Emmy Award contender "The Village Bride," Production Ig crafted the fan-favorite "The Ninth Jedi," and Trigger did double duty with "The Twins" and "The Elder."

Fans are already wondering if we will see sequel shorts for these particular episodes.

Imaginary. Borderlands. The Crow. Megalopolis. 2024 has been a colossally bad year for Lionsgate Films. Whether it’s critical ratings or box office take, there’s not a lot to be optimistic about if you’re a fan or shareholder. This is too bad as Lionsgate has always been the studio I’ve always rooted for. As distributors of the Saw, John Wick, and Rambo they’ve always had an edge to them, giving smaller films a chance to reach larger audiences. And franchises like Twilight (purchased from Summit), Divergent, and Hunger Games showed their ability to make/acquire broadly appealing films. Then they’ve even gotten into the Oscar space with releases like La La Land, Knives Out, and Sicario. But it’s getting to the point where I groan every time the Lionsgate logo comes up as it’s no longer a sign of quality or fun.

Filmland Film Festival is returning to the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts from Aug. 14 through 18, hosted by the Arkansas Cinema Society. Colman Domingo with be honored with the inaugural Southern Storytellers award at the festival.

The Duel follows Woody (Callan McAuliffe), who discovers that his best friend Colin (Dylan Sprouse) has had an affair with his girlfriend. Woody concludes that he will not be satisfied with any modern form of revenge and instead challenges Colin to a duel to the death.

Warburton spoke about what attracted him to the script. “I liked the character,” he told uInterview founder Erik Meers. “I liked where the story went; there was some intrigue. I think, you know, it has different elements, and that will inherently have some intrigue at the same time; I thought it looked like it could be a great ride, and as it turns out, it was. This was a little film made by brand new writers and directors, but those guys are so talented.”

Actors Dylan Sprouse and Callan McAuliffe discussed the nature of modern masculinity in their new comedy/drama, The Duel, in their new uInterview.

The Duel follows a young man who learns that his best friend has had an affair with his girlfriend. In response, the main character challenges his friend to a classic contest – a gentlemanly duel to the death.

McAuliffe delved into his experience, communicating his character’s perspective on screen. “In many ways, he’s not so dissimilar from myself,” he told uInterview founder Erik Meers. “You know, he’s a big fan of history, he’s a touch pretentious, he’s driven when he learns of his girlfriend’s infidelity, with, of all people, his best friend, that essence within his, that desire to not settle for ‘It is what it is,’ and to actually really do something about it, that comes to the forefront.”

The directorial debut of Justin Matthews and Luke Spencer Roberts (writers of Prime Video’s recent rom-com Upgraded), The Duel, is one of the more star-studded independent films in recent memory, boasting a cast led by recognizable faces like Dylan Sprouse and Patrick Warburton. Although it has thin characters and occasionally repetitive humor, The Duel is an entertaining satire that is just provocative enough to work.

The Duel follows two former best friends who find themselves at a crossroads when one sleeps with the other’s girlfriend. This leads them to a mysterious estate, where they engage in a ritual duel to the death. Matthews and Roberts take some very ambitious swings with their directorial debut, and while they don’t all work, it’s at least an intriguing work of satire.

Exclusive: Lionsgate and Grindstone Entertainment have acquired rights to the comedy The Duel, exec produced by and starring Dylan Sprouse (Beautiful Disaster), in North America, as well as all other English-speaking and Latin American territories.

Marking Sprouse’s first project as EP, the film will hit theaters via Lionsgate and Iconic Releasing at the end of July. In support of its release, a number of cast members will be in attendance this weekend at the Indy 500 parade, which will include a car and racing helmets themed to the film. Those expected to attend include Sprouse, Hart Denton (Riverdale), Maria Gabriela de Faria (upcoming Superman), Rachel Matthews (Frozen II) and Christian McGaffney (Simón).

Marking the directorial debut of Justin Matthews & Luke Spencer Roberts, the co-writers of Amazon’s Upgraded, who also penned the script, The Duel is about a modern friend group falling apart and the craziest way to deal with it: by bringing back dueling.
