Bokura no mikurona shûmatsu

So I wasn't expecting much from this drama. I was in a mood and decided to search up some spicy BL dramas to watch and weirdly this one came up. What I wasn't expecting was the emotional toll and surprise I had. Though I was so angry with the dude with the glasses (forgot his name) for using the other guy like that during their college years. And the guy went crawling back almost, I was like NO. But anyway, their acting was absolutely amazing and the guy with the glasses knows how to look at somebody. The amount of eye contact was insane. Anyway, it was a unique drama and I highly recommend if you're looking for something emotional and heartfelt. Well made Japanese BL.

I came across this series by chance and I loved it. It tells a complex love story and sets the stage for the true meaning of the series: inviting us to a deep reflection on the meaning of life. "We've all wished to die at some point" is a phrase that appears in the story and resonates deeply in one's heart. This series takes us on a journey of the unexpected encounter with the meaning of existence, desire, and illusion, in a context where everything seems irreparably lost. It's a reflection on the decision to die, on the anguish life can bring, and on survival. Truly, it's beautiful. With great performances, a powerful script, and a very fitting OST, it has been a pleasure to watch.

There is something about the falling in love and getting heart broken story line portrayal in this series that is very touching. The Main character Masumi's self talk makes it even more believable same goes for the other lead Ritsu. Seto Toshiki with his wonderful acting skills has done amazing work as Masumi and makes you believe every emotion his character feels. Nakata Keisuke plays his character Ritsu with charm and ease, he makes you both love and hate Ritsu which says a lot about his good acting skills. Overall both Seto and Nakata do justice to their characters.

As a Si-Fi series it's a bit out there, some things make sense, some things don't. Overall a decent series.
