Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna (2012)

Trivia

Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna

Edit
Sangolli Rayanna born on 15th August 1798, and executed on 26th January 1831. The notable point is August 15th the day when India get freedom and on 26th January 26th India become republic country.
Initially, Arjun Sarja was set to play the titular role and Priyamani to play Mallavaa, with the film originally slated to begin shooting in August 2009.
The third film to co-star Darshan Thoogudeep and Nikhita, after Yodha (2009) and Prince (2011). Controversy engulfed the film after Darshan's wife accused him of beating her with shoes, burning her with cigarettes on her face, biting her ears and threatening her with a gun, naming Nikita as a source of conflict within her police complaint. Thus rumors alleging an affair between the actor and his frequent co-star emerged, which Nikita vehemently denied. As a result, Darshan spent two weeks under arrest before settling the case with his wife out of court (with his wife then claiming she actually fell in the bathroom) and Nikita was banned from the Kannada film industry for three years by the Kannada Film Producers' Association, in a widely criticized move which was reversed five days later.
Nikhita's father passed away during filming.
The war scenes are said to have cost 20 to 25 million rupees per day to shoot (around $300,000), with seven cameras filming simultaneously, while the rest of the film cost about 5 million rupees per day (over $60,000).
