Edit
Adhura Aadmi was Amjad Khan's first directorial venture, the film was completed but not released. Then later Amjad Khan had directed Chor Police (1983) and the last film Amjad Khan directed was Ameer Aadmi Gharib Aadmi (1985).
Amjad Khan was also to direct Lambhayi Chuddayi with Amitabh Bachchan and also a film tittled Mezaan, but these 2 films were shelved.
Amjad Khan and Komila Wirk had serious problems during the shooting of the film. This caused Komilla to walk out with out finishing her portion. Komila stated it was due to Amjad deciding to end their affair.
The original director left the film due to problems and Amjad Khan took over.
There was a story doing the rounds that Amjad Khan sent 12 goons with knives to scare co producer Vikas Mohan to hand over his co producer share of the film. The producer Rajiv Mehotra wanted Vikas gone from the project. Amjad Khan denied the story, but Vikas Mohan put a legal stay on the film, preventing the film to release.
