I was so impressed with this film. For such a young filmmaker, Stevantoni shows a great deal of sensitivity and insight into these mature and complex themes. The Brother is a beautifully shot film which takes you into the world of a family facing a difficult crossroads. The film deals with the conflicts between father and son, husband and wife, and the jealousy and love between brothers. It is a love story of many sorts, and the acting is strong and the storyline plausible and compelling. This film seems like a departure for Stevantoni from his earlier more action-based films, and he handles this subject matter with skill and ease. I look forward to his next projects--he has a very promising future ahead of him.
