At 28:41 neither of the vehicles in the collision has an engine suggesting the film crew flatbedded the two junkers to the site.
At 24:45 Ox says "...we've got to get off the continent while there's still time". The opening scene suggests the research station is on a rig in the Gulf of Mexico; not on "the continent" at all.
The helicopter they are flying in near the end of the movie is, from the outside, several different helis, but they are sitting in a Robinson R44...which is a much smaller much more basic piston engine heli. It doesn't compare to the helis shown from the exterior. The yolk, the R44 on the seatbelt harness, and the small interior are the dead giveaways.
