Shepka Productions has announced the digital release of their new revenge thriller, Dead Before They Wake. Perhaps the most interesting cast member in this one is Sylvester McCoy — yes, the Seventh Doctor — but it sounds like his role is a minor one. The BBC has acquired crime drama series Rebus, a new adaptation of the best-selling Inspector Rebus novels by Scottish author Ian Rankin, starring Richard Rankin (Outlander, The Replacement) in the lead role.

Adapted for the small screen by Gregory Burke (´71, Six Four) and produced by Eleventh Hour Films for Nordic streamer Viaplay, the six-part series will air on the U.K. public broadcaster’s flagship network BBC One, BBC Scotland and streamer BBC iPlayer this spring.

Rebus has been seen on the screen and stage before. An ITV series ran for four seasons from 2000 until 2007. The fictional inspector has also been featured in radio and theater adaptations.

After the successful Down Under Tour in Australia, Impact Wresting will head back overseas this October for the UK Invasion Tour! These will be Impact’s first major British shows in almost eight years and will feature exclusive championship matches.

The 2023 UK Invasion Tour will feature Impact Wrestling World Champion Alex Shelley plus Moose, Eddie Edwards, Deonna Purrazzo, Kazarian, Brian Myers, ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) and hometown hero Joe Hendry, among many others. Impact officials have confirmed the tour will also feature the Impact return of Scottish wrestling hero and star of hit TV shows Scot Squad and Two Doors Down – Grado. Impact Hall of Famer Gail Kim and hardcore icon Tommy Dreamer will also make special appearances each night of the UK Invasion Tour.
