At the beginning, there is a chaos. Then main characters start to appear, each with her or his unique life story. They are tender, funny, tragic or brutal. Some stories are connected, some not. As their lives move on in concentric circles,we get involved, take sides, shed tears or laugh. The strongest character for me is Natasa, women who is about to lose everything and yet believes that we carry each other, help each other because this is what life is about. All actors are good, but Natasa Dorcic brings more of herself into her role.It is one of these cases when you have a feeling that the actor is not acting. This is a first feature film from a young Croatian director Ivona Juka. Yet, it is profound film that will make you forget prejudices towards the country and cinematography that you do not know - providing you have any.

You carry me" is an absolute breathtaking movie with a tremendous storyline that will keep you interested all the way through. Skillfully made and written intelligent. You don't need tons of special effects to create an unique movie. The acting is great, the story is powerful and intense . Three separate life stories, each so unique, but also related with the main question trough the movie: "when will YOU change?" The film has great impact on how we think about everyday situations. At first we may judge some presented situations on the screen but the film shows us that everyone could relate to those situations. It shows us that life is not black and white and that is often unpredictable.
Ivona, thank you for making this masterpiece and for raising Croatian cinematography on a higher level. I never write reviews but this time, I had to. Don't miss this movie!

I had the chance to watch this movie during my vacation in Croatia at the Pula Film Festival. I usually don't watch many foreign movies, but i was surely amazed by this one. I loved the strong female characters, and enjoyed the father - daughter theme. My favorite characters and relationship in the movie was the one between Ives and her father. The movie is stuck in my head even now, a month later after I have seen it, I still get the chills remembering some scenes that i don't want to spoil to the others. I can only recommend to go and watch this movie, you will love it.
While reading the other comments, I noticed that people were bothered by the length of the movie, in my opinion that is something ridiculous to complain about, those two hours flew by so fast cause you were captured by the movie so much that you didn't notices the time. Saying you don't want to watch this movie cause is too long is like saying you don't want to read a book that has more than 100 pages. Despite the length you should give this movie a chance. You definitely will not regret it.

I've already fallen in love with the introduction, a joint production from four countries, delivering a fantastic work, the depth of everyday problems of women, overworked, exhausted, stressed, but never surrender, and continue to struggle hard for their families, jobs and still they have to keep themselves happy... Beautiful production, convincing performances, passionate deliveries, well-developed script, very engaging, revolting and adorable...
I was lucky to had the chance to watch this movie during my trip to Zagreb, amazingly enough Zagreb's movie theater had English subtitles so foreigners and tourist like me where able to enjoy this great movie. The astonishing thing about the stories in this movie is that they are so relateable to everyone, in one way or in the other we have experienced what the characters experience. You carry me characters makes you live the story with them, they make you feel what they feel, this movie gives you an (positive) emotional roller coaster. It is incredible how captured you get by the story, how you live every moment with the characters. It is one of the better movies I have seen lately, and I truly hope that everyone who will have the chance will go to the Cinema and enjoy it as much as I did.
