First film as director by Siani from Benvenuti al nord / Sud is low on charm in it's exposition, when the court official comes up with the idea of using the country's most underprivileged drop out as a fake suitor to revive interest in blonde Gwyneth Paltrow lookalike princess Felberbaum.

It's not till the second half that it intermittently achieves its wanted fairy tale romance comedy quality, when Siani and De Sica reverse roles as pauper ring-in lover instructs the aristo in the common touch, to win appealing red headed Autieri - complete with songs.

Nice atmospheric 21st Century Italian A feature production values.

Can't understand why only 5.3/10 in IMDB...

Movie is one of the best emotional comedies I've watched! I discovered it 12 years after it's release, but it's truly a piece of diamond!

Nice acting, nice photography, and a very pleasant plot, easy to guess but so dreamy!!

And the music also fits perfect in the frame!

Like a fairy tale for grown up people, with smiles, laughing, emotional moments and a very sweet taste..!

Alessandro Siani has created a very nice scenery and even the story is a bit simple, makes you live in it, and feel so good during the time you watch it!

Christian DeSica also impressed me! And the beautiful ladies too!
