Disney Xd has set a premiere date for Kirby Buckets, an ambitious new comedy that mixes animation with live action. The show will launch Monday, Oct. 20, at 8/7c, followed by a new episode of Lab Rats at 8:30/7:30c.

Kirby Buckets stars Jacob Bertrand (Marvin Marvin) as a 13-year-old who aspires to be a famous animator. The show follows Kirby and his best friends Fish (Mekai Curtis) and Eli (Cade Sutton) as they navigate their unusual small town. Kirby's animated characters (whom only he and the audience can see) also show up.

Exclusive: Nickelodeon‘s Svp of live-action development Brian Wright has left the network effective today. “Brian Wright has decided to leave Nickelodeon after 7 years,” a rep for the network confirmed to Deadline. Wright, who joined Nick as VP live-action development in 2007, was promoted to Svp, overseeing all live-action development and pilot production, in 2012. He reported to Nickelodeon Group president of original programming Marjorie Cohn who exited last year. Wright’s departure comes four months after Nickelodeon upped head of casting Sarah Noonan to Svp Live Action Content, overseeing live-action development and production. Wright, who worked under her, most recently worked on the development of Instant Mom, The Thundermans and Haunted Hathaways, which are currently on the air, and recent greenlights Nicky Ricky Dicky Dawn and Bella And The Bullfrogs. The boy-oriented Disney Xd has cast the 13-year-old actor as the lead in two pilots it has picked up as vehicles for him, Kirby Buckets and Neckpee Island. The intention is for one to go to series. That is a special treatment given only to talent Disney brass strongly believe would be their next breakout star. Disney Xd sibling Disney Channel used the same tactic for Selena Gomez eight years ago. After spotting her at an open casting call the year before, Disney Channel simultaneously cast her in two pilots, one of which was Wizards of Waverly Place. Looks like Marvin is headed back to space earlier than expected. It seems that the Marvin Marvin TV show has been cancelled after one season on Nickelodeon.

Marvin Marvin follows the adventures of a super-powered teenage alien (Lucas Cruikshank) who was sent to Earth by his parents for protection. Others in the cast include Pat Finn, Mim Drew, Victory Van Tuyl, Jacob Bertrand, Casey Sander, and Camille Spirlin.

Last night, Cruikshank tweeted, "I've been a Nickelodeon boy for years and today it came to an end. So excited for new beginnings. Love you all!"

Earlier yesterday, the actor told fans that he was shooting a special video for them and would post it sometime today.

Marvin Marvin started its run last November. The 19th and final installment aired on April 27th and is an extended episode featuring Big Time...

Bringing down the house with his hilarious hosting antics was "Safe Haven" hunk Josh Duhamel, while Christina Aguilera, Pitbull and Ke$ha rocked the stage with all-star performances.

The big winner of the night was "Twilight" gal Kristen Stewart who took home awards for Favorite Female Movie Actor and Favorite Female Buttkicker.

Meanwhile, Selena Gomez took home Favorite Female TV Actress, while Katy Perry scored the prize for Favorite Female Singer.

Are you ready for slimiest award show of the year? It’s finally here! And we’re here with you all night to keep you posted with the best moments, winners , and fashion from the big night. Follow along right here!

Josh Duhamel is ready to host and we’re ready to watch. From the red purple carpet, hosted by Khloe Kardashian and Terrance Jenkins to the award show with A-list appearances, this is where all the best moments will take place.

Khloe has already said she doesn’t want to get slimed tonight, while host Josh promised there will be quite a few of it.

Opening the show are performances by Pitbull and Christina Aguilera, who both always put on a good show. Also set to perform is Ke$ha, who showed up in a Dumb & Dumber-inspired suit.

It’s an entertainment industry highlight each year, and the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards just unveiled their 2013 nominees.

And it turns out One Direction made the cut for the Favorite Musical Group category along with Big Time Rush, Bon Jovi and Maroon 5.

As for the Favorite Song choices, Carly Rae Jepsen's “Call Me Maybe” will compete against “Gagnam Style” by Psy, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” by Taylor Swift, and “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction.
