2008-2012 was a great yet frustrating era to be a fan of Marvel cartoons. That brief period of time saw the premiere of some of the very best television that's ever adapted Marvel Comics: "The Spectacular Spider-Man," "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes," and "Wolverine and the X-Men." I both blame and cherish these shows for making me a true Marvel Comics fan.
Yet, all these truly marvelous shows concluded prematurely for infuriating bureaucratic reasons. "Spectacular Spider-Man" ended when Sony ceded some Spider-Man television rights back to Marvel. Meanwhile, "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" was canned to make way for the far inferior (and Marvel Cinematic Universe-synergistic) "Avengers Assemble." Lastly, "Wolverine and the X-Men" never made it to season 2 because the show's financing fell apart.
Series writer-producer Joshua Fine confirmed as much in a 2011 interview. Even worse, season 2 was already in production; it had a season outline,...

As we prepare for the 97th Academy Awards this weekend, here’s a reminder of the Oscars Cheer Moment, and the weirdest year in the body’s history.
On Valentine’s Day 2022, the American Academy of Motion Pictures unveiled a pair of awards so prestigious they could only be accurately communicated via hashtag.
#OscarsFanFavorite and #OscarsCheerMoment were the latest in a string of attempts from the world’s most famous awards body to stay popular and relevant. The last was in 2018 when, in an attempt to reverse the ratings freefall the ceremony had found itself in over the last decade, Film Academy president John Bailey proposed an official Popular Film category – the first new competition since Best Animated Film in 2001.
Months later, the award was slipped quietly into the organisation’s back pocket, after Academy members and the public at large united to declare the idea a silly one. Making a popular film,...

It has been a while since we have heard the incandescent phrase “Avengers Assemble” on the big screen. And we can’t really blame Marvel, as the MCU is still struggling to find a strong footing. Without a proper build-up like Phase 1, 2, and 3, one cannot expect to get a reaction as profound as the Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame movies received. However, Kevin Feige is definitely cooking up something with the MCU; a Secret Wars recipe that we can only smell from a distance for now.
With all the flops and disappointments at the box office, Marvel has taken a step back with the number of yearly releases to work on its quality. The upcoming Avengers films, Doomsday and Secret Wars, are supposed to bring back the same zeal and emotions fans once felt while watching Infinity War and Endgame.

Avengers Assemble #5 Preview Features Captain America's Craziest Transformation Yet: Meet Cap-Snake!
The five-issue Avengers Assemble series launched last September and ends this month after assembling an all-star team of heroes known as the Aveng.E.R.S., the Avengers Emergency Response Squad.
Among those reporting for duty have been Captain America (Steve Rogers), The Wasp, Hawkeye (Clint Barton), Hercules, She-Hulk, Photon, Wonder Man, and Shang-Chi, a group of Avengers that feels very McU-inspired. However, they've also been joined by obscure heroes like Night-Thrasher, Lightning, and Lightspeed (Julie Power).
Inspired by the team he pulled together during Blood Hunt, Avengers Assemble has seen Captain America take on a new initiative: recruiting new and classic Avengers for an all-new squad. Cap's team will operate out of Avengers Mansion and tackle one crisis after another on globetrotting superhero missions.
The fourth instalment ended with a major cliffhanger when it was revealed that the Serpent Society had created a deadly toxin known as the Serpent's Tears.

The eternal battle between Marvel and DC has always been one of the main topics comic book geeks have been arguing about for years. Be it Superman against Thor, Batman against Iron Man, or any other match-up, fans still argue about which of them will win, theoretically. The interesting thing is that many characters that belong to both universes are either similar, possess similar powers, or have similar backstories.

Among these similar characters, two are aquatic superbeings- Marvel’s Tiger Shark and DC’s King Shark. Both strong hybrid creatures have fought the heroes of their respective universes and established their notorious reputations. However, there are quite a number of differences in talents, history, and fighting experiences that make this match worthy of further analysis.

Avengers Matching Tattoos, Bonding Moment (Photo Credit – Facebook)
Five Avengers got matching tattoos to celebrate Avengers: Infinity War, and yes, it was Scarlett Johansson’s idea. Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner all inked the Avengers logo. The tattoo artist Josh Lord ended up with one, too.
Robert Downey Jr. spilled the tea to EW. “Five of the original six Avengers got a tattoo,” he alluded, adding that the lone holdout was Mark Ruffalo. “It was Scarlett Johansson’s idea, and she and Chris Evans did it in New York. Then, their amazing New York guy, Josh Lord, who was amazing, flew out to LA, did me, did Jeremy Renner, and then we just bullied Chris Hemsworth into doing it, and he got it.” It’s a classic Avengers movie.
But it didn’t stop. Stuff got hilariously chaotic when each Avenger got to “contribute” to the tattoo.

Warning: This article contains Spoilers for What If...? Season 3
For what feels like years, Marvel fans have discussed the possibility of a World War Hulk, with rumors appearing almost like clockwork every time a "scooper" wants to earn some delicious social media dollars. The persistence of that speculation may well point to something concrete, with the latest rounds suggesting 2025's Captain America: Brave New World will actively set-up Bruce Banner's first solo project in the MCU. But regardless of the legitimacy of anything posted by supposed insiders, it remains a travesty that we've never seen a World War Hulk adaptation in live-action.
We have already had an animated Planet Hulk, and World War Hulk was adapted into an episode of Avengers Assemble in 2016, but the excited whispers around the McU's official take on the popular Marvel Comics story have so far amounted to nothing. World War Hulk has been set-up in the MCU subtly,...

A tense new American film will be landing in the UK carrying unintended innuendo. Sid James might have laughed but the studio won’t
From time to time, a film made in the US will reach these shores with a slightly different title. Ford v Ferrari, for example, was released in Britain under the name Le Mans ’66 due to prohibitions on using brand names in British films. The Avengers was called Avengers Assemble, for fear that people might think someone had remade the terrible Ralph Fiennes spy movie of the same name. Zootopia was called Zootropolis because Disney apparently enjoys arbitrarily messing with people.
What I’m trying to say is this: there is precedent here. If an American film has a title that seems like it might be problematic, or misleading, or offensive, or rude, producers have no qualms with just changing the name to something else.

Warning: Contains Spoilers for Avengers Assemble #4! Captain America is a character whose design literally predates Marvel Comics, making it as timeless as it is iconic. That legacy is felt with every addition to Captain America’s personal lore, including and especially in the MCU, as the films took that comic book design and brought it to life. But now, Captain America’s design has changed drastically thanks to the hero’s newest MCU foe - and it totally changed my opinion of that upcoming villain.

Warning! Spoilers for Avengers Assemble #3!Many of Marvel's evil societies are well known to Avengers fans, including groups like Hydra, A.I.M., and even the Hand - but one team that doesn't get much respect is the Serpent Society. The organization's obscurity might be changing soon, as not only are the Serpent Society making their first MCU appearance, but they've also gained their biggest and most powerful member so far - who may just be a major threat to the Avengers.
The Serpent Society debuts a brand-new member, Titanoboa, in Avengers Assemble #3 by Steve Orlando and Marcelo Farreira. After the events of the Blood Hunt event, new vampires are roaming the world, resulting in Captain America creating a new form of the Avengers, known as the Avengers Emergency Response Squad, also known as the Aveng.E.R.S.
This squad was made to respond to vampire threats within seconds or to any other threats if necessary.

Warning: Contains Spoilers for Avengers Assemble #3! Simon Williams aka Wonder Man is about to make his MCU debut in the upcoming Disney+ original miniseries, Wonder Man. While he may be just hitting the scene in the realm of live-action, Wonder Man has been a mainstay Avengers hero for quite some time, and is currently serving as one of Earths Mightiest Heroes in the modern day. In fact, during his latest mission, Wonder Man gets a new nickname ahead of Simon Williams MCU debut - and its absolutely perfect.
In a preview for Avengers Assemble #3 by Steve Orlando and Marcelo Ferreira, the Avengers Emergency Response Squad (aka Aveng.E.R.S.) are at the Avengers Mansion in New York, standing by for an emergency. When a colony of freshly-turned daywalker vampires (remnants of Blood Hunt) is attacked by vampire-hunting fanatics, the Aveng.E.R.S. spring into action - and Wonder Man is on the roster.

The Marvel Universe turned upside down after the events of Blood Hunt, which pitted the Avengers and many other superheroes against a world filled with darkness and thirsty vampires. With The Challenge: Battle of the Eras airing, new alliances are forming daily, including one featuring several cast members who weren’t in Season 40.
Several days after Kyland Young conquered a mini-final in Episode 12, he and castmate Nurys Mateo shared a new video clip featuring a fabulous fivesome enjoying a run outdoors.
Their ally, castmate, and Nurys’ boyfriend, Horacio Gutierrez, was among the group, running shirtless as viewers have seen him do during MTV’s competition series.
Zara Zoffany, who appeared in MTV’s The Challenge UK and Season 39, aka Battle For a New Champion, was also with them.
For some people, a mystery man also appeared in the group, as Aj Pritchard received a tag and was shown running.
The Rocky theme music played as the video showed them running individually and then as a group.
“Would you join our alliance?” a text overlay said across the Ig video.

As a new team of Avengers face threats across the world, the franchise is making a significant change by giving the heroes matching costumes. However, these new looks aren't just about team unity - the new Avengers uniforms include new features that make every member more effective. The decision is particularly interesting given that the X-Men franchise is currently making the opposite change - abandoning a team uniform for more individual costumes.
Fans have known for months that Captain America's new Avengers Emergency Response Squad will be wearing matching jackets emblazoned with the Avengers 'A.' However, in a preview of Steve Orlando and Scot Eaton's Avengers Assemble #2, the team's tech expert Night Thrasher reveals the costumes give them extra resources and protection.
While giving this new team of returning and first-time Avengers a feeling of team unity, the jackets are also bulletproof and fireproof, while also housing Gps locators and medical supplies.

Warning: Contains Spoilers for Avengers Assemble #1! The Avengers are known as Earths Mightiest Heroes for a reason, with each individual member contributing superpowers that make feats like saving the world (and sometimes the entire universe) possible. However, just because the Avengers are strong doesnt mean there isnt room for improvement, and one new recruit agrees, as he just gave the Avengers matching costumes that actually give them extra powers.
In Avengers Assemble #1 by Steve Orlando and Cory Smith, readers are introduced to an all-new Avengers lineup. This team is technically a secondary squad to the official Avengers (which is led by Captain Marvel over in the main Avengers comic title). However, the Avengers Assemble lineup is still a part of the whole superhero initiative, similar to the Young Avengers or West Coast Avengers, making them just as much Avengers as Captain Marvels crew. And now, these specific Avengers might actually surpass the official squad.

A new theory suggests that a new Avengers team in Marvel Comics could be the perfect representation of the upcoming team's roster in the live-action MCU. While the Avengers team was a staple of the MCU for many years after their formation in 2012's eponymous The Avengers, the team has been inactive since 2019's Avengers: Endgame, which took place in 2023 in the McU's official timeline. The absence of the Avengers team has been very noticeable, but this will soon be rectified, as a new line-up of Avengers is expected to form in the McU's Phase 6.
It's already been revealed that President Ross will ask Sam Wilson to rebuild the Avengers in 2025's Captain America: Brave New World, which could lead to the McU's new Captain America becoming the team's official leader. Several other notable heroes, both new and familiar, have also been theorized to join the team ahead of Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.

In a smart reveal, Marvel just confirmed that one of the mightiest Avengers of all time has a secret power he's been keeping under wraps until now. In fact, because of the logic behind the power, multiple Avengers must logically possess it, despite the fact none of the rest of Earth's Mightiest Heroes knew about it until now.
In Steve Orlando and Cory Smith's Avengers Assemble #1, Captain America's new roster wait for direction at Avengers Mansion. To kill the time, the team play a game of poker, only for Hercules to reveal he can always tell when the other heroes are bluffing. When questioned, it's revealed that Hercules' Allspeak power - which allows him to understand and be understood in every language on Earth and beyond - includes body language, meaning he can tell when mortals are lying.

Fan art depicting Spider-Man characters in a classic 2D animation art style proves just how perfectly some Marvel characters work with a classic Disney sheen. Disney acquired Marvel in 2009, meaning Marvel characters have been a part of Disney's repertoire since the earliest days of the MCU timeline. Nevertheless, Marvel's main output of movies has been mostly confined to live-action, while animated Marvel series like Avengers Assemble and What If...? are rendered in art styles distinct from that of Disney's most recognizable animated IPs.
While this will probably remain the case forever, that hasn't stopped @eroz.ai (via Instagram) from discovering through AI art generators what Spider-Man characters would look like if they starred in their own Disney animated movie. The results prove that Spider-Man's particularly colorful cast of characters and Disney's distinctive style are a perfect match, with Spider-Man's rogues' gallery in particular evoking the perfect Disney villain look. Deadpool & Wolverine has surprised no one with its dominance of the box office, social media and lets just admit it the world since it arrived in theaters almost a month ago. As Marvel Studios only theatrical release of the year, the film was expected to do nothing less than break records, and it has not disappointed. Which means that Deadpool is now officially part of the MCU and, more importantly, the Disney family and that is why he is about to set sail on a new adventure that would have been impossible the last time his masked face was speaking to audiences through a cinema screen.

The current generation of anime fans won’t know this, but before the cult-like following began for anime and manga series like Naruto and One Piece, Yoshiyuki Tomino’s Gundam gathered one of the biggest fan followings. This was also the reason why the series got so many spin-offs and sequels.

The franchise began with the release of Mobile Suit Gundam in 1979 and is still going on, with new narratives being featured in movies and TV series from the franchise. However, Gundam gathered most of its fans with the first two series, Mobile Suit Gundam (1979) and Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam (1985).

Marvel Studios has yet to announce a release date for Deadpool & Wolverine on Blu-ray (and likely won't for a while given how well it's doing at the box office), but we now have the first deleted scene for you!
Shared by Peter actor Rob Delaney, it's an extended version of Wade Wilson and Logan's arrival on Earth-100005 and includes a throwback to an earlier gag involving the car salesman's...unique...jewellery.
Wolverine and those kids are both a little freaked out and we'd imagine this will ultimately end up on the threequel's eventual blooper reel.
I’m told this scene was cut from

“Deadpool & Wolverine” was a box office success so Disney is going to Disney and milk the character for all he’s worth. Now, they are adding him to Disney Cruise Lines’ upcoming Disney Adventure ship.
The Disney Adventure will set sail in 2025. Based in Singapore, the ship will have a castle, and now, it is Deadpool because Disney has to exploit any popular character until they kill it.
Deadpool will be part of the team of Marvel characters for the “Avengers Assemble!” show, which will feature heroes, villains, special effects, stunts, and three-deck-high LED screens.
This epic entertainment experience will feature jaw-dropping stunts and unbelievable special effects during an action-packed battle of good vs. evil.”
Adding Deadpool is a bit odd for a family stage show. Disney is really trying to incorporate a character that is most definitely not kid-friendly.

When Marvel launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) back in 2008 with Iron Man, no one knew – although many people hoped – that it would become what it is today, and that is the biggest single-narrative film series of all time and one of the biggest projects in the history of cinema in general. It’s not always great, but its historical importance cannot be denied.
In light of that, many moments from these films will remain with us forever, and we have recently reported how Kevin Feige’s decision to bring Hugh Jackman back as Wolverine for Deadpool & Wolverine, as well as the decision to bring Robert Downey Jr. back to the MCU as Victor Von Doom, who is going to be the main villain in the upcoming Avengers movies, angered some fans and how it ruined the impact of some of these moments.

Wakanda forever! We hope youre as hyped as we are to finally get an update on the highly-anticipated animated series, Eyes of Wakanda. While weve seen TChalla - otherwise known as Black Panther and the character made famous in the live-action MCU by the late, great Chadwick Boseman - in other vibrant titles like What If? and Avengers Assemble, the fresh production will give the character a standalone story. And, not only will it focus on TChallas journey with the centuries-old powers of Black Panther, but it will also delve into the lineage of the heroes and Wakandians that came before him. First announced at the tail end of last year, the joyous festivities of D23 brought with it the exciting news that Iron Fist will also appear in the series.

Just when Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool expected to hear “Avengers Assemble” from Chris Evans, he shouted “Flame On” revealing himself as a Johnny Storm variant. This happened during the Captain America actor’s cameo appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine. Evans popped up once again in the post-credits scene after his fun but short cameo in the film.

According to Reynolds, the post-credits scene would’ve blown the budget of the film out of proportion if he wasn’t wearing a mask. "We're the Storm" debuts as the Bat-Family's rallying cry in Batman #148, emphasizing unity among the iconic heroes and allies. Chip Zdarsky crafts a powerful moment with Batman and his sons leaping through a rain-soaked Gotham night, showcasing their unity. The potential longevity of "We're the Storm" as a lasting rallying cry for the Bat-Family lies in Zdarsky's ability to weave it into future narratives.
