    7 takes on Cebu

There are 7 days in a week and it was the Friday that they chose. Who you ask? 7 directors who made 7 short films set in their hometown, the city of Cebu coincidentally located in region 7 of the Philippines. 7 seems to be a magic number in this film. Although Cebu being the common ground of this feature film, these seven stories aren't interrelated and shouldn't be viewed as such. Each director had a diverse take on what they wanted to portray through the vision of their camera. Themes range from violence and prostitution to unusual love affairs & mental instability. There is a lot to see here and it's fresh, definitely very fresh to see films like these emerge not from the capital city of the Philippines, where majority of the mainstream movies arise from, but from an island right smack in the lower middle of the archipelago.
