2017 was Bts' year!

The K-pop boy band made their mark on America and proved they came to slay this year, achieving numerous milestones and even setting a world record.

The group's seven members -- V, Rm, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, Suga and J-Hope -- brought their energetic dance skills, irresistible pop hits and charming personalities to the U.S. and Et was lucky enough to talk to the megastars every step of the way -- from their Billboard Music Awards debut and their chart-topping album, Love Yourself: Her, to their Beatles-like arrival at Lax and first interview ahead of the American Music Awards.

So, without further ado, here are Bts' eight biggest moments of the year.

Love wins in Australia!

On Tuesday, the Land Down Under revealed that an overwhelming majority of the population supports same-sex marriage, following a two-month long national survey, prompting Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to call for the Parliamentary to institute marriage equality before the end of the year.

The results crossed borders and seas, reaching far further than the millions of Australians who cast their vote, including many Lgbtq advocates and celebrities worldwide, who took to social media to celebrate the outcome.

Dancing With the Stars' Trio Night was full-on fun!

With special appearances from past winners, like reigning mirrorball champion Rashad Jennings and season one winner Kelly Monaco, there was a tremendous amount of talent in the ballroom during week eight of the dance competition show.

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to one dancing duo -- Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke -- before the five other couples were announced that they'd be advancing to next week's semi-finals.

Nick Cannon says he won’t be saying sorry to Georgian Court University after the private, Roman Catholic school dubbed his performance during their homecoming weekend “offensive.”

“I ain’t apologizing for s— Lol… wait, I’m sorry your university doesn’t believe in freedom of speech!!!” Cannon, 36, tweeted on Tuesday night, alongside a screenshot of an alleged email sent to the “Gcu Community” by the New Jersey university’s president, Dr. Joseph R. Marbach. (The university has not yet responded to People’s request for comment.)

In the alleged email, Marbach wrote of the university’s “profound disappointment with Nick Cannon.

Chance the Rapper is on a mission to ensure every kid in Chicago receives a decent education. The 24-year-old has been leading the charge this year by donating $1 million to public schools in his home state and later launching an arts and literature fund to help develop better art programs for students in Illinois. Now, with the help of his SocialWorks organization, the "Angels" rapper has raised a whopping $2.2 million dollars, which will go toward the Chicago Public Schools' arts programs. "Quality education for public schools is the most important investment a community can make," Chance declared while speaking at Chicago's Harold Washington Cultural Center on Friday night. The singer proudly shared the news that she’s now a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, the second of seven levels.

This week fandom was set on its ear by the announcement of the newest person to play the Doctor on BBC’s venerable sci/fi TV show, Doctor Who. (If you don’t already know, the Doctor is a time-traveling alien with the ability to regenerate himself into an entirely new body and persona when his current body is on the point of dying.) The actor got his start on a 10-year contract with the Walt Disney Company in the 1960s — and he has plenty of personal anecdotes about the man himself.

Russell appears in the latest issue of Disney Twenty-Three, which celebrates Disney legends. In it, the actor pens an essay recalling his days as a child actor on set and what he learned from the animation and movie pioneer.

“At any given moment, there’s a little voice in my head . . . that’s constantly telling me, “Way to go, Chip, that was so funny!’ and ‘Hey, Chip, you look good in that size medium T-shirt!’ A few times [it] has even told me my dad bod is ‘rockin.'” the Fixer Upper star writes of his strong sense of self confidence in the new summer issue of The Magnolia Journal.

But, he says, “folks just don’t seem to appreciate when I take my shirt off without having a good reason to do so.”

The TV contractor won’t be body-shamed, though. He goes on to credit his self-assured outlook as a reason for his success, and expresses his wish to share it with others who struggle to feel the same.

The competition was on between the Anaheim Ducks and Edmonton Oilers once the puck dropped, but Canadian hockey fans didn’t hesitate to pick up singing the “Star-Spangled Banner” when technical problems arose.

Before game three of the Western Conference Second Round in the NHL playoffs on Sunday, country singer Brett Kissel’s microphone malfunctioned. However, the 18,000 Oilers supporters at Rogers Place stepped up and sang every word of the American national anthem in a moving moment.

Well, Krieger definitely stole the show.

Archer Season 8 Episode 4 didn't do much to advance the main story about Woodhouse, or even about the criminal goings-on in Dreamland.

It did, however, give us a fantastic twist to Krieger's backstory.

The running myth/implication about Doctor Krieger is that he was something akin to the Boys from Brazil. This was a major plot point in Archer: Vice Season 5 Episode 10, when he met his clone brothers in San Marcos.

Archer: Dreamland, however, turns this on its head. In Dreamland, Krieger is actually a Jewish scientist who infiltrated the Nazi science division to sabotage their weapons programs.

Aaron Leibowitz, no less!! I love this so much!

We had every reason to believe that Dreamland Krieger had the same or a similar backstory as his real-world counterpart. We heard him speak German early on, and his connection to Len Trexler and penchant for crazy experiments was certainly classic Krieger.

Tom Hardy is bringing action movies into his real life!

The Mad Max: Fury Road star put on a display of big screen heroics recently while apprehending an alleged motorcycle thief in London, the BBC reports.

According to the publication, Hardy grabbed one of two teenagers who fled after the stolen bike ran into a vehicle, while the other was apprehended by police.

It just takes a momentary twist to make a good film great. Think about The Sixth Sense: until it’s final revelation that [Spoiler (?)] Bruce Willis has been dead the whole time, the most intriguing bit of that film was wondering how a mook like Willis got a doctorate in psychology. But then they drop that twist and oh shit, you got yourself a movie.

Getaway Driver, a short film directed by Abner Pastoll, is another example of this. What starts out as a cool, slick, high-octane short about a lady and her pug trying to escape a bad guy via a sweet ride becomes something else entirely in its final seconds, something I’m obviously not going to spoil here. The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) kicks off its 16th annual Doc Fortnight on Thursday, a 10-day festival that includes 20 feature-length non-fiction films and 10 documentary shorts. This year’s lineup includes four world premieres and a number of North American and U.S. premieres.

The festival is far from the only major North American showcase for non-fiction cinema. Carrie Underwood's precious pooch is on the road to recovery.

Last month, the "Church Bells" singer revealed one of her dogs, Ace, suffered a herniated disc and was completely paralyzed in his back end for a few days. Underwood placed him into a physical therapy program so he could gain his mobility back, and it sounds like things are finally starting to look up!

Drew Barrymore was at the finish line of the New York Marathon on Sunday to cheer on her ex-husband, Will Kopelman, along with their two daughters, Olive and Frankie.

The 41-year-old actress and producer shared adorable pictures of her daughters cheering their dad on to Instagram to capture the fun family moment.

"#girlswhocheerdadon #nycmarathon well done!!!," she captioned one sweet picture with the two girls in Kopelman's arms.

"#showingthegirls #tofinsihistowin #proud," she captioned another photo, showing a huge family hug.

Barrymore and Kopelman finalized their divorce in August after four years of marriage, but the two have continued to be on good terms to co-parent their children.

The Whip It director wasn't the only celeb at the finish line -- but some of the others had to get there the hard way, via a 26-mile run through New York City's five boroughs.

It seems that Red’s history with his former associate affected his normally accurate shot on The Blacklist Season 4 Episode 2. And rather than check to make sure she was truly dead, it looks like the thought of having to look at her after “killing” her must have been too much for him.

It’s definitely a major mistake that will come back to haunt Red and an interesting twist for the series.

Your favorite pop songs might actually be controlling your mind. Kidding, but not. What sort of madness are we talking about? It turns out pop music might be trying to trick you into digging it. You know when a song transitions from lyrics into nonsense "whoa-oh-ooh-oh" chants? If you're a fan of Katy Perry's "California Girls," or Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City's "Good Time," you'll know what we're talking about. It's almost like filler to keep the song going, and it's everywhere.
