This is truly a beautiful film. A must-watch 'cause it is about the love between a father and his son and also about love and romance. The film has a perfect balance between all of our human emotions. If the 1st half makes you laugh, then the 2nd half makes you cry. There are beautiful moments in the 1st half itself which make you cry and touch the right chord.
I genuinely loved the film.
Out of the 3 songs in the film, the 1st song is pure melody and yet again hits you in the heart 'cause it is about a son telling his dad that his father is truly his hero. I think we all can mostly relate to that.
Performance wise it is the Living Legend Mithun Chakraborty who is the Star of the film! He carries the entire film on his shoulders and the more you are in awe of him as an actor in this film, the more it is less. He is truly brilliant in every frame. Whether it is comedy or heart-break, the maestro of talent proves yet again why he is one of the finest actors in the world!
After Mithun Chakraborty, it is Kharaj Mukherjee who is just excellent in the film. His comic timing is out-standing and he makes you laugh your guts out whenever he comes on screen.
Even Dev was very good in the film and his chemistry with Mithun Chakraborty is wonderful and their bond of father and son intensifies the relationship.
All in all, everyone in the film is good because the story is so sweet and touching.
My special shout-out to the director of the film, Avijit Sen for showing us such a beautiful story.
This is truly a lovely, feel-good family entertainer which shouldn't be missed.

Narratives about mothers and their undying affection for their children have always been commemorated and recognised not only by culturual explorations, but also through our artistic expressions, through the medium of cinema, plays, poems or literatures, but we seldom see the sacred relationship between a father and his son or daughter being portrayed in an identical manner.
So far, only a few stories have attempted to delineate what fatherhood genuinely means and why it must become an integral part of our everyday conversations. Projapati as a film is yet another attempt to reinvigorate the same discourse.
It is uplifting, engaging, and, above all, full of familial warmth and love that will be relevant to a vast percentage of the viewers (particularly Bengalis). Yes, It's not perfect, it does have some issues that cannot and should not be overlooked, but if you go in with a limited set of expectations and an open mind, you will have a good time, I assure.
P. S. The chemistry between Dev and Mithun was so natural; they looked & acted like a real life father-son pair; there's no superficiality in their on-screen rapport, and that certainly to some degree at least, played a part in making the equation more lively and likeable.

Projapati is a film of relationship. Relationship between father and son, relationship between old friends. The screenplay in the first half is gripping. Mithun Chakraborty tried his level best to arrange marriage for his only son Dev, who is a wedding planner. But on the course of arranging marriage of his son, Mithun found his old friend Mamata Shankar. Now the dimension of story is changed. Unfortunately second half is dipping due to too much characters bur unfortunately most of them are underdeveloped. Performance wise Kharaj Mukherjee, Ambarish, Mamata Shankar, Dev justified with their roles. New comer Sweata did good job. But Mithun Chakraborty ultimately steals the show. He is fabulous in both comedy and tragedy. His pairing with Mamata Shankar after 46 years of Mrinal Sen's classic Mrigaya made you Nostalgic. Music is good. Portraying of Benaras in the film is praiseworthy. It is definitely one time watchable particularly for Mithun, who again proved that age doesn't matter for a natural actor.
'Projapati', a new creation to cheer up, in search for a friend after 'Tonic' and 'Kishmish'. In the presentation of Atanu Ray Choudhury Sir & production of Dev da, with the direction of Avijit Sen Sir, this film depicts the joy & sorrow, pride & egotism of a father-son relationship. In the warm presence of incomparable beauty of Banaras along with each and every song of the film, it gets a different dimension to every moment of the film. There is no feeling of a little bit of boredom in a single part of this film. The presence of Kharaj Sir and Ambarish Sir fills the film with a lot of hilarious moments. In the last 30 minutes, I really got emotional with the dialogues of Dev da for his father and the most amazing song ' Bhenge dekho amay, Jure dekho amay, Tumi amari amari royecho' sung by Nachiketa Sir.
The perfect and eminent climax of this film teaches us how to love our father, share our feelings with him and equally try to fulfill their wishes. At the end of the day, we can also be a friend of our father and pay respect to their tireless care, with a yell, 'Baba tomake joriye dhorte boddo icche kore, Asole Tumi Amar Hero'.
So why are you waiting for? Let's celebrate this festive season of Christmas and New Year with 'Projapati' for an awesome and amazing jugalbandi of Dev da and Mithun Da, and the entire team of Projapati.
Thank You Dev Da for this amazing 'Projapati', wish you the grand success of Projapati. Eagerly waiting for the next upcoming projects from Dev Entertainment Ventures in 2023.

A beautiful movie. Little bit overdramatic at the end. The storyline is good. The best thing about the movie is Mithun Chakraborty's acting. It is proved again that if you give him a good script, he will create such a magic on screen that no one ever could. We can name a few of his gems like - Mrigaya, Tahader katha, Titli, Kalpurush, Swami Vivekananda, Shukno Lanka, The Tashkent files, Ekti Nadir golpo, or this one, Projapati. In Projapati, each time he appears in the screen, he just steals the show. His eyes, gestures, dialogue delivery, everything is just brilliant and could be a lesson to all wanna be actors. Mamata Shankar is graceful and good. Her on-screen pairing with Mithun is just perfect. I wonder why other directors didn't cast them after Mrigaya. Dev is consistent throughout the movie. Kharaj and Ambarish are great actors and they have proved it again here. Kaninika is superb in a small role. Sweta is really good and has potential but in this movie, she doesn't have much scope. Biswanath is fine in a small role.
Direction is very good just like his previous film Tonic. Music of the film is very soothing. Cinematography is good and fresh.
Over all, you should watch the film atleast once to witness the maestro of Mithun Chakraborty's acting.
