Like most TLC shows, drama is a staple of Sister Wives. Without a continuous cycle of harsh words and hurt feelings, there wouldn’t be much content left to keep the show alive.

Since the show first premiered, many fans and cast members have pointed fingers at Robyn for being an instigator. But lately, some Sister Wives fans have started to think Christine Brown Woolley is more interested in drama than she cares to admit.

See what other viewers are buzzing about online.

Sister Wives Fans Dissect The Infamous Family Enneagram Tests

An Enneagram test is a personality test that tells users more about their personality types. Members of the Brown family took the test, which caused a lot of drama between the family members.

But do the results tell a bigger story about the women?

Gm stayed the sponsor until the ride was rethemed.

Angelina Jolie Said “People Have Tried” Making a Mr. & Mrs. Smith Sequel With Her and Brad Pitt: “Could we have kids in the movie?”
Image
You can finally put your mind at ease knowing why a sequel to this classic romantic comedy, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, starring two renowned actors, who later became a real-life couple, was never made.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt appeared as Jane and John, two highly skilled assassins posing as an average suburban couple, in Doug Liman’s 2005 flick. The dramatic real-life romance between its two stars made this 20th-century Fox film famous—or infamous, perhaps (for the offscreen romance headlines). The Smiths were thrown into an unexpected adventure when they found out that they were both spies and had been given orders to kill each other because they worked for different agencies.

In 2010, Jolie disclosed that attempts had been made by “people” to reunite her and the actor (whom she would later marry in 2014) for a sequel to the 2005 movie.

Donald Glover Is Right, Marvel Can't Cast Him As Spider-Man Now
Image
Donald Glover has acknowledged that he is too old to play Spider-Man in live-action. Glover's appearances as the Prowler in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse hint at a live-action Miles Morales in the future. If a live-action Miles Morales movie happens, younger actors like Caleb McLaughlin, Miles Brown, and Dallas Dupree could be good choices.

Donald Glover has commented on whether he could play Spider-Man in live-action, and the actor is right; that is not possible. Glover is already involved with two different Spider-Man franchises. Interestingly, the actor plays the same character in both of them. Glover first joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in the first of Tom Holland's Spider-Man movies, Spider-Man: Homecoming, in a small role as Aaron Davis. The character is the Prowler in Marvel Comics, with Glover's appearance teasing that his nephew, Miles Morales, also exists in the MCU.

Pre-Alpha Test for Stealth Horror Game ‘Nakwon: Last Paradise’ Set for November 29 [Video]
San Francisco, 1985 (2013)
Developer and publisher Mintrocket is doing quite the pivot for its next game. From their recent success with Dave The Diver, the team is now going the PvPvE route with Nakwon: Last Paradise, which recently announced a Pre-Alpha Test for those fans looking to smash zombies in a stealth survival setting.

Similar to titles like DayZ, Nakwon: Last Paradise sees players forced to survive post-apocalyptic Seoul, Korea that’s become infested with the living dead. The problem is that there are few guns, and you’re competing against other players to collect items in order to sell them, and get out of the city alive. Alternatively, you can also earn cash by completing missions, but there is that lack of firepower issue. As a result, you’ll need to rely on being stealthy and avoid attracting attention from the zombies or other players.

To give you a sense of what Last Paradise will be like,...

What The Marvels Got Right
Image
This article contains spoilers for The Marvels.

There’s been a lot of discourse surrounding The Marvels and its less-than-ideal performance in theaters. With all of the interconnected movies and TV shows that Marvel studios has been releasing over the last few years, it’s not hard to understand why some people are starting to experience “superhero fatigue” and no longer feeling the need to see these projects the instant they release. At the same time, it’s a shame that the movie solely focused on female heroes directed by a Black woman is where a lot of people have decided to draw the line.

The Marvels isn’t a perfect film by any means, but it deserves a lot more credit than it’s gotten for the things that it does get right.

The Length Is a Welcome Change

Do I wish that I could have spent more than...

13 Best Sonic the Hedgehog Story Arcs From Idw Publishing, Ranked
Image
Idw's Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series currently comprises sixty-four issues, spanning three complete sagas. Each arc is relatively short, many of them consisting of four issues. The entirety of the second saga – Metal Virus – could be considered one arc, as it is truly one massive event as opposed to the other sagas. Most of Metal Virus' arcs have been combined here for that reason.

The third saga's "Battle of the Empire" arc and the current fourth saga's "Overpowered" arc could be interpreted as one unified story, since they document the invasion of and escape from the Eggperial City respectively. With that in mind, here are all the arcs of Idw's Sonic the Hedgehog, ranked.

"Trial By Fire"

The irony behind "Trial by Fire" falling to the bottom of this list is that it's directly correlated to the amazing Imposter Syndrome tie-in mini-series. The eponymous fire, which Sonic's female...

‘Oppenheimer’s’ Secret Weapon: It Dares to Look Dramatically Askance at Its Hero
Image
Like countless moviegoers around the world, I’m a major fan of Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer.” But like many of those who saw it, I wasn’t alone in having qualifications about the last part of the movie. For me, the first two hours of “Oppenheimer” were electrifying. I felt the kind of full-scale mind/soul immersion that’s the definition of what we look for when we go to the movies. But in the last hour, I experienced a certain falling-off quality. I was still involved, but less involved. As the film kept returning to the 1954 hearing that resulted in Oppenheimer losing his security clearance, with Oppenheimer in the hot seat being hectored by a team of interrogators led by Jason Clarke’s special counsel to the Aec, I thought, “Why are we still at this damn hearing?” I asked because I didn’t know.

Now I do. A...

How Oppenheimer's Atom Bomb Explosion Was Created Without CGI Finally Revealed
Image
Oppenheimer VFX supervisor Andrew Jackson confirms that the film's atomic blast scene was filmed without CGI, but stresses that VFX – mostly digital compositing – were a crucial part of the process. Christopher Nolan wanted an artistic interpretation of the Trinity blast instead of a direct recreation, and this was accomplished by the layering of 400 individual elements, most of which were filmed practically. Nolan's aversion to CGI and his love for practical effects gives his films a tactile feeling and, in the case of Oppenheimer, adds a sense of threat and danger that computer graphics cannot replicate.

Oppenheimer VFX supervisor Andrew Jackson breaks down just how the film's showstopping atomic blast was filmed without CGI, making clear that this doesn't mean visual effects weren't used. Directed by Christopher Nolan, the historical drama chronicles the life and career of "father of the atomic bomb" J. Robert Oppenheimer. One particularly gripping sequence in the movie recreates 1945's Trinity Test,...

Oppenheimer: Nuclear Expert Reveals True Effectiveness Of Sunscreen In Trinity Test Scene
Image
Physicist Greg Spriggs praises the mostly accurate depiction of the first A-bomb blast in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, but questions the effectiveness of scientists donning sunscreen for protection. The film's portrayal of the bomb itself and the circumstances surrounding the first test received high marks for realism from Spriggs. While Spriggs gave the film a 7 out of 10 for accuracy, considering Nolan's commitment to realism, some may find this rating disappointing, given the filmmaker's previous feats in capturing authenticity.

A nuclear expert assesses Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer for realism, addressing whether sunscreen would actually have protected someone during the Trinity test. With a box office tally over $650 million worldwide, Nolan’s film about the invention of the atomic bomb has surpassed all expectations to become a genuine blockbuster. Realism as always is the name of the game for Nolan, who is known for avoiding CGI in bringing his epic movies to life,...

Cillian Murphy Didn't Try To Understand Physics For Oppenheimer
Image
If the Trinity Test was the most historic moment of the 20th century, surely the bombshell box office success that was "Barbenheimer" is the 21st-century equivalent. Ok, maybe not. But "Barbenheimer" did feel somewhat culturally historic in the way it captured our collective attention — and our money. Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" brought in an outrageous $162 million on its opening weekend while Christopher Nolan managed to hold his own with "Oppenheimer" making an impressive $82 million without the aid of brand recognition or existing IP.

Still, Nolan had the benefit of telling the story of a man the director has been on record as calling the most important figure in history. On July 16, 1945, J. Robert Oppenheimer and his team of physicists watched as their efforts to harness the power of Quantum physics lead to the first test of the most destructive weapon ever created. That famous Trinity Test was, as "Oppenheimer" shows,...

Christopher Nolan Explains One of ‘Oppenheimer’s Most Disturbing Scenes
San Francisco, 1985 (2013)
While the Trinity Test is certainly the centerpiece of Christopher Nolan’s three-hour epic “Oppenheimer,” there’s a moment that follows the detonation of the nuclear bomb that echoes the test sequence in disturbing ways. Cillian Murphy’s J. Robert Oppenheimer addresses residents of Los Alamos to inform them that the bomb has successfully been dropped on Hiroshima, but the sound of the roaring crowd drops out, only to return moments later – just like the delayed sound of the bomb blast during the Trinity Test.

Nolan, who wrote and directed the film, said the parallels between the two sequences are certainly intentional.

“The whole film is about consequences,” Nolan told Vulture. “The delayed onset of consequences that people often forget — the film is full of different representations of that. Some visceral, some more narrative.”

The speech that Oppenheimer gives during that moment, and the visions he has of a young...

Image
The following contains spoilers for Oppenheimer, now playing in theaters. This article includes is a mention of suicide.

In the opening act of Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, Florence Pugh's Jean Tatlock plays an important role. She begins a relationship with Cillian Murphy's titular character, though she's not up for public romance or a commitment. As the film progresses, Oppenheimer ends up marrying Kitty (Emily Blunt), but still maintains an affair with Jean.

This love triangle stirs up guilt in Oppenheimer's early years as a theoretical physicist in America. However, he quickly begins to compartmentalize as he spearheads the Trinity Test in Los Alamos. Still, even after her death, Jean continues to occupy a strong place in Oppenheimer's heart and mind, which ends up giving way to two very quaint sex scenes. Oppenheimer's Non-cgi Atomic Bomb Explosion Sequence Required Real-Life Science Experiments
Image
The Oppenheimer production used real-life science experiments to recreate the Trinity test explosion sequence without CGI. Tricks like dropping silver particles into powered aquariums and lit-up metallic balloons were used. Scanning the IMAX film for VFX reduced the resolution, so a focus was put on capturing everything in-camera. Various techniques like long shutter speeds and color manipulation were also experimented with. The Trinity Test sequence also used miniature models overseen by Christopher Nolan, cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema, special effects supervisor Scott Fisher, and visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson.

Oppenheimer cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema reveals the types of real-life science experiments the production used to pull off the film's explosive atomic bomb detonation sequence. How ‘Oppenheimer’ Pulled Off an Atomic Bomb Explosion Without CGI: A Giant Aquarium, Balloons and More
Image
In 2020’s “Tenet,” Christopher Nolan blew up a 747, and for his latest feature, “Oppenheimer,” he recreated the Trinity Test without using visual effects, opting to find a way to do it in-camera instead.

“Obviously, we couldn’t make an explosion the size of the actual explosion so we used trickery,” cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema explains, and no, they didn’t detonate a real atomic bomb.

The ten-minute sequence capturing the first-ever successful atomic bomb detonation came together through many experiments. It was a given that Nolan would do the scene in-camera. “We’re suckers for this absolute depth of resolution that IMAX give us,” van Hoytema says. “But when you go to VFX, you have to scan it, and the moment you do that, it loses half of its resolution.”

Their goal was to preserve the quality of the film stock.

Despite not using VFX, Nolan and van Hoytema worked...

The Original ‘Oppenheimer’: How the BBC Brought the Father of the Atom Bomb to Life Long Before Christopher Nolan (Exclusive)
Image
Decades before Christopher Nolan set his sights on a movie about J. Robert Oppenheimer, a science-obsessed BBC executive ventured to America in 1979 to make a $1.5 million TV show about the father of the atom bomb.

Peter Goodchild began his career at the BBC in radio drama, but eventually migrated to the storied “Horizon” science unit to put his chemistry degree to some use. The division began experimenting with factual dramas in the 1970s, and after delivering a hit series on French-Polish physicist Marie Curie, Goodchild set his sights on the New York-born Oppenheimer.

“I’d seen a play on J. Robert Oppenheimer at the Hampstead Theatre Club way back in 1966,” the 83-year-old tells Variety from his home in Exeter, southwest England, where his Zoom background reveals a room teeming with books on heaving shelves.

“It was an amazing story, and I’d always wanted to do it,” Goodchild continues. “Someone...

Christopher Nolan Explains Why You Don’t See the Destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in ‘Oppenheimer’
Image
In the new MSNBC documentary “To End All War: Oppenheimer and the Atomic Bomb,” the impact of the 1945 nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki are seen in grisly detail: Archival footage from the U.S. military recorded days after the bombings show survivors covered in horrific burns, with sagging flesh and clothing seared to their bodies, as they stand in the wreckage of cities leveled to the ground. Although the documentary, which is now streaming on Peacock, was released in part to drum up hype for Christopher Nolan’s Universal-produced “Oppenheimer,” no such footage appears in his own movie.

Nolan defended the decision during a conversation after a screening of the movie in New York over the weekend. His depiction of Manhattan Project chief scientist Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) doesn’t show Hiroshima or Nagasaki, he said, not to sanitize the subject, but because the movie extends from its...

Christopher Nolan Reveals the Unexpected Cameo His Daughter Has in Oppenheimer

Oppenheimer is less than one week away from its long-awaited arrival at theaters, where Chistopher Nolan’s new movie will be competing directly with other of the most anticipated films of the year, Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, presenting two very different stories but both with amazing and numerous casts, and stunning production designs.

Just as its name indicates, Nolan’s movie follows the story of one of the men behind the atomic bomb and one of the scientists that worked on the infamous Project Manhattan. Oppenheimer stars Cillian Murphy, a long time collaborator of the director, along with an amazing cast that includes Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr, Tom Conti, Rami Malek, Matt Damon, Jack Quaid, Florence Pugh and many others.

But the film also has a very special cameo. In an interview with The Telegraph, Nolan confirmed that his own daughter, Flora, is also appearing in the movie in a very unexpected way,...

'I've already done that': Al Pacino dismissed Christopher Nolan's director's note
Al Pacino dismissed Christopher Nolan's director's note on the set of the 2002 thriller 'Insomnia'.The 'Oppenheimer' helmer has recalled writing his instructions for the 83-year-old Hollywood legend on a piece of paper, and him saying he'd already done what he wanted "on the dailies", but "you can't see it to the eye".Without being specific about what he requested of the 'Godfather' icon, Nolan told The Los Angeles Times: “I had gone up to Pacino after a series of takes and given him a note on what I wanted.“He told me, ‘I’ve already done that. You can’t see it to the eye, but I’ve done it on the dailies.’ I looked for it and I was like, ‘Oh, my God,’ because there it was.”The filmmaker says he had a similar set experience with Cillian Murphy. He noted: “Great film actors can do that, and...

Oppenheimer Is All Practical Effects According to Christopher Nolan
Image
According to director Christopher Nolan, don't expect Oppenheimer to be a CGI spectacle.

The critically acclaimed filmmaker behind the upcoming biopic about American physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer spoke to Collider about his cinematic approach to the film. In past projects, Nolan took pride in filming epic scenes on camera without the need for visual effect enhancements. Oppenheimer is no exception as Nolan takes on the story of America's Trinity test, requiring nothing but practically and "zero" CGI.

Related: Christopher Nolan Agrees - Oppenheimer Is a Horror Movie

During the production of Oppenheimer, Nolan commented about how he and his long-time visual effects supervisor, Andrew Jackson, recreated the atomic bomb sequence on location in New Mexico with practical effects. "I think recreating the Trinity test [the first nuclear weapon detonation in New Mexico] without the use of computer graphics, was a huge challenge to take on," Nolan said. "[We were] looking at how we could do a lot of the visual elements of the film practically,...

Christopher Nolan: “Oppenheimer Has Zero CGI Shots”
Image
Now it’s clear that the peak of Oppenheimer will be the Trinity nuclear scene. All of the film’s energy is concentrated on that scene. Admittedly, in a series of interviews, director Christopher Nolan stated that the Trinity test in the movie is based on practical effects. Moreover, Nolan said that there’re zero CGI shots. Can it be?

The Trinity nuclear test. With no CGI???

Trying to photograph real-world things to give the first detonation of the atomic bomb is one of the most hypnotic, terrifying, and beautiful things and equal measurements. We really needed to find a way in this film to represent that in a way that the audience could feel some of that extraordinary sense of witnessing – that first unleashing of the power.

Christopher Nolan Nolan tries to avoid CGI and VFX

We know Nolan. He’s not a fan of VFX and CGI layers.

Christopher Nolan's biographical drama 'Oppenheimer' has no CGI
Image
Los Angeles, July 8 (Ians) Ever since the announcement of ‘Oppenheimer’, Christopher Nolan has made it clear that he has zero interest in using CGI for the biopic, instead using practical effects for everything. With that in mind, ‘Oppenheimer’ will have absolutely no CGI.

The director is known for his penchant for realism and complex stories, but for his latest film, ‘The Dark Knight’ creator has insisted on keeping things as real as possible. Speaking with Collider, Nolan said that his latest film not only has a focus on practicality, but it contains “zero” CGI shots.

However, this is nothing new as Nolan has preferred to rely as little as he can on VFX on almost all his ventures be it ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy, ‘Interstellar’ or ‘Tenet’.

Instead Nolan has always preferred using things such as camera work, real small-scale explosions and miniature sets to avoid having his work feel wholly unrealistic,...

Worst 2000s Cartoons
Image
Even though the 2000s produced some of the most iconic cartoons on television, it also had some of the worst. Many 2000s cartoons have aged poorly with crude jokes and art styles that didn't collect with fans.

Related: 10 90s Shows With Better Animation Than Anything Currently AiringNo network was safe from bad cartoons in the 2000s, with Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, and Nickelodeon being some of the biggest culprits of releasing poorly written animated shows that made fans cringe more than they laughed. Even though some of the worst cartoons plagued the 2000s, there were enough good ones to keep networks afloat and save their reputations. However, cartoon fans will never forget the worst cartoons from the 2000s.

The Women Of Fast And Furious Have Fought To Be In The Driver's Seat
Image
When Rob Cohen made "The Fast and the Furious" in 2001, he couldn't possibly have known that it would eventually spawn one of the largest film franchises of all time. The original film was downright modest, even wispy, when compared to some of the more recent chapters in the overblown "Furious" franchise. In it, an LAPD cop named Johnny Utah ... er, I mean Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) goes undercover in the strange and ultra-cool world of surfers ... er, I mean L.A. street racers to track down and arrest their ringleader Bodhi ... er, I mean Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) for a recent rash of high-profile thefts. Michelle Rodriguez appeared as Letty, Dom's girlfriend, and Jordana Brewster played Mia, Dom's sister and Brian's would-be paramour.

Over the course of the film's many sequels, Letty and Mia would eventually play larger and larger parts in the story and finally be allowed to do more than fall in love,...

Texas Senate Passes Bill Requiring 10 Commandments in Every Classroom
Image
The United States was founded on the separation of church and state. It’s in the Constitution and everything. The Republican Party has long been working to dismantle this principle — sometimes by gesturing toward Christian nationalism, and sometimes, in the case of the Texas state Senate, by trying to write it into law.

The legislative body approved a bill on Thursday that wouldn’t just permit the state’s public schools to display the 10 Commandments; it would require them to do so and to do so prominently.

Senate Bill 1515 holds...

How To Pass The Darwin Test In Atomic Heart
Image
The retro-futurist setting of Atomic Heart's post-apocalyptic Soviet Union delves deep into the concept of human vs machine, and the Darwin Test is just another piece in the game's puzzle. As the player is trying to figure out what caused everything to go wrong, they will need to activate drill mode inside the museum. To do this, they will need to convince the passive, non-violent robot Tereshkova that they are human, and not a robot.

Tereshkova is a positive, cheerful hostess at the All-Soviet Exhibition Center's registration stand, unable to express the horror she feels at the violence and carnage surrounding her. Like many parts of Atomic Heart's plot line, she blurs the line between robot and human and is suspicious the player character does so as well. She will not obey the orders of a robot pretending to be human, so to advance the story the player needs to...

AI performs poorly in detecting Covid by listening to cough: Study
Image
London, Feb 15 (Ians) The AI classifiers trained on audio recordings cannot accurately predict whether someone has Covid-19 by analysing the sound of their coughs, according to the study led by the UK’s Alan Turing Institute.

As first reported in a paper from researchers led by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, there were claims that AI could detect the difference in cough sounds between those with and without Covid-19 with up to 98.5 per cent accuracy, reports The Register.

The result led to efforts to build an app powered by the algorithms to provide people with a cheap and easy method to test for the novel coronavirus.

The Department of Health and Social Care in the UK even went so far as to award Fujitsu two contracts totalling more than 1,00,000 pounds to develop the government’s so-called “Cough In A Box” initiative in 2021, according to the report.

The software would collect...

‘The Rehearsal’ Finale: A Comedic Rorschach Test Takes a Strange Turn
Image
This post contains spoilers for the season finale of The Rehearsal, which is now streaming on HBO Max.

Among the most clever things about Nathan Fielder’s The Rehearsal is that its very structure, along with the secrecy behind how Fielder and company produced the docu-comedy, makes it almost entirely analysis-proof. We just know so little about which parts are real, which parts are not, what happened that we did not see, and how much more empathetic Fielder may be than the version of himself he plays here (and before that,...
