HWJN is a Saudi fantasy and romantic film. It tells the story of a genie who lives among humans in the city of Jeddah. He undertakes adventures and a journey to confront evil and regain his rights, trying to maintain a balance between his world and his life among humans. Then a romantic relationship arises between him and a girl named Sawsan, who studies in the College of Medicine. The film is based on the novel Hawjan, by Ibrahim Abbas.
The film is the result of cooperation between Image Nation Abu Dhabi, Vox Cinema, and MBC Studios. The film is directed by Yasser Al-Yasiri, and stars Saudi actors Baraa Alam, Nour Al-Khadra, Nayef Al-Dhafiri, Al-Anoud Saud, and Mohsen Mansour.
