I was skeptical that the series could compare to the original movie, one of my very favorite films. The series is very good, great performances by both Eddie and Lashana. I disagree with the criticisms of her performance. She does well. Perhaps viewers are critical of her character, hardnosed and determined, sometimes questionable, rather than her acting, which is fine. The Jackal, of course , is an amoral killer, added with the complication of a wife and child, which actually doesn't detract from the story. Very surprised at the excellent series, compelling to continue watching, a rarity in the mediocre usual pablum viewers are usually offered these days.
