Following the first clip and trailer released earlier this month, Lifetime has debuted the first five minutes of their new TV movie The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story, before its premiere on Monday, September 1 at 9 Pm Et.

The movie starts off in the year 1990, as the Saved by the Bell cast gets ready for their first public appearance, unaware if their show is actually a hit or not in these pre-Internet times. There is even a nod to Zack Morris' infamous "time out" bit, before this extended clip goes back to 1988, which reveals that the show originally centered on the teachers of Bayside High. Timothy Busfield has been doing two television jobs for some time, but now, he's leaning toward just one.

An Emmy winner for playing ad-agency man Elliot on "thirtysomething," he cut his teeth as a director on that series, and he's kept working both sides of the camera since. In fact, he's filling both roles for Lifetime: After a week on the set of "The Client List" -- directing an episode for the show's second season that starts Sunday (March 10) -- he also plays a U.S. senator in Saturday's (March 9) new film "Restless Virgins."

"This is a movie about screwed-up kids and what screws them up," he tells Zap2it about the drama, also casting Vanessa Marano ("Switched at Birth") as a newcomer at a prep school where she learns a sex tape involves several lacrosse players ... including the son of Busfield's character.

True-life scandal meets John Hughes-esque teen tribulations in Lifetime’s newest original film, Restless Virgins, which premieres tomorrow night, March 9, at 8pm Et/Pt. The film stars Switched at Birth stars Vanessa Marano and Max Lloyd-Jones, and The West Wing’s Timothy Busfield. Exclusive: MTV‘s Teen Wolf has added a quartet of young actors for Season 3. Desperate Housewives co-stars Charlie and Max Carver, Adelaide Kane and Felisha Terrell have landed recurring roles on the 24-episode third season of the show, based on the 1985 movie about a high school student-turned-werewolf.
