Imelda Staunton at an event for Harry Potter et l'Ordre du Phénix (2007)
BritBox’s upcoming “Tommy & Tuppence” series based on the works of Agatha Christie has found its series leads.

Variety has learned exclusively that Antonia Thomas, Josh Dylan, and Imelda Staunton have all been cast in the six-part series, which was originally announced back in June. The official logline states, “Tommy (Dylan) and Tuppence (Thomas) are a detective duo for the ages. They fall in love, fall out of it, and tumble back in, all while solving some thrilling, entertaining mysteries along the way.”

Tuppence is further described as “an actress and force of nature who won’t take no for an answer.” Tommy is said to be “a meticulous, charming crime writer who has lost his passion but finds it again when whirlwind Tuppence re-enters his life.” Staunton will star as Aunt Ada, “a wry, retired private detective who loves her nephew, Tommy, because he never undermines her – only a fool would do so.

Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez in Resident Evil (2002)
'Resident Evil 6': Ali Larter Returns as Claire Redfield
Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez in Resident Evil (2002)
With production scheduled to begin next month in South Africa, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter has brought in Ali Larter to portray Claire Redfield. This final installment of the Resident Evil franchise will be Ali Larter's third time portraying Claire Redfield, following 2007's Resident Evil: Extinction and 2010's Resident Evil: Afterlife. Milla Jovovich is coming back as Alice, but no other cast members have been officially confirmed at this point.

Production on this sequel has been delayed a few times, following the 2012 release of Resident Evil: Retribution. Filming was supposed to begin on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter in the fall of 2013, but that never came to pass. Last year, Milla Jovovich announced on her Facebook page that shooting was being pushed by one year, due to the actress' pregnancy. Production is still slated to take place in Cape Town, South Africa, which is where pre-production was taking place when the delay was announced.

Luke Matheny
Rom-Com Lovesick Asks If Characters in All Rom-Coms are a Little Psycho
Luke Matheny
Luke Matheny takes his title literally in Lovesick, a romantic comedy in which falling in love triggers a psychotic reaction in his protagonist. An affable elementary-school principal played by Matt LeBlanc, Charlie is initially unaware that his tendency to connect nonexistent dots and convince himself of increasingly bizarre scenarios of infidelity is the reason his relationships fail. Turns out his ex-girlfriend did not, in fact, run off with a rodeo clown. His latest trigger is a dancer named Molly (Ali Larter), who in Charlie's self-destructive mind is too good to be true. The ensuing hijinks (leaving her dozens of messages, flying to Italy to ensure she isn't having an affair with Dr. Oz) don't so much make the case that Charlie is especially out there &mda...

9 TV Stars Who Horribly Botched Their Big Leap Into Films
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

Aaron Paul became a critically acclaimed actor while appearing in a recurring role on the television series Big Love and earned even more praise – and won two Emmy Awards – for his starring role on Breaking Bad. So why is it that the movie Need for Speed, which starred Paul, underperformed in U.S. theaters this past weekend?

Just because Paul is an award-winning actor on television does not mean audiences were going to pack the theaters to see his movie. In fact, there is a long history of wildly popular television stars who fail in their attempt to transition to movie stardom. In many cases, these TV stars made poor choices when it came to film roles. In other instances, viewers simply had no interest in seeing these actors play anything else but their beloved TV characters.

For every George Clooney there are many TV...

Kristen Johnston Diagnosed With Lupus
Actress Kristen Johnston revealed on Facebook this week that she’s recently been diagnosed with the rare auto-immune disorder Lupus Myelitis

Kristen Johnston Diagnosed With Lupus

“I've been really, really sick since early Sept. Full body muscle weakness to the extent that just walking difficult, stairs impossible and I even need a neck brace to hold my head up,” Johnston wrote on her official Facebook page.

“Lying down I'm fine, which is great for writing or killing time on social media, but it's kind of disastrous when you're in a sitcom that requires tons of physical comedy,” she added, referring to her TVLand show The Exes. “Before you even had a chance to wonder "Hey! Where'd that big mouthy blonde gal go?" I thought I'd tell you, This lucky lady spent 2 fun-filled weeks in November partying at The Mayo Clinic. Come on... Who's jealous?”

“This is how, after 4 months & 17 Drs (no lie),” she wrote,...

2014 Sundance Film Festival Predictions List: An Intro
Kids. Such as Sex, Lies, and Videotape or Reservoir Dogs before it, and such as Winter’s Bone, Blue Valentine and Fruitvale Station after it, Larry Clark & Harmony Korine’s seminal film is forever connected in “spirit” to the lieu where it received its secret midnight premiere screening in 1995. The Sundance Film Festival might be known as the birthplace of U.S indie filmmaking innovation, avant-gardism, a larger definition of the low budgeted film response to Hollywood in not only narrative but in the non-fiction form, but it is a festival made strong by its renewal and familiarity. That close acquaintanceness exists in Kids‘ starlets Rosario Dawson and Chloë Sevigny filmography/career path trajectory and connection to Park City (both have several indie films slated for ’14 – of which I’ve included in our predictions list) and it is that “familiarity” that is visibly noticeable in how I map out my annual predictions list.

Lovesick Adds Rachael Harris And CSI Miami's Adam Rodriguez
To quote Buffy the Vampire Slayer, "Love makes you do the wacky." That phrase may be a fitting one for the upcoming Luke Mathaney directed indie romcom Lovesick. The film has a growing cast of notable names, led by star Matt LeBlanc, who signed on this spring to play the part of Charlie Darby, a man who tends to go insane whenever he falls in love. And that's in the clinical sense. The issue is one Charlie must tackle when he meets his dream girl. Already set to join the Episodes star in Lovesick are Ali Larter, Chevy Chase and Kristin Johnson. And today Deadline reports that two more actors have boarded the project. Adam Rodriguez and Rachael Harris are the latest two to sign on for Lovesick. Rodriguez is set to play Jason, Charlie's married best friend. While Harris has signed on to play Roberta, "an aggressive date of...

Matt LeBlanc Talks 'Episodes' Season 2, 'Friends' Favorites & More
Matt LeBlanc in Episodes (2011)
If you ever find yourself in a position to have Matt LeBlanc recite his favorite lines or completely re-enact classic scenes from "Friends," I highly recommend you take advantage. I found it hard to believe that he could even rattle off lines from this season of "Episodes" (Season 2 premieres Sun., July 1, 10:30 p.m. Et on Showtime), let alone spout dialogue from almost a decade ago ... but that he did.

I caught up with LeBlanc, who plays Matt LeBlanc, a fictionalized version of himself in Showtime's series about the making of another series called "Pucks." Last season's cliffhanger finale -- which involved the fictional LeBlanc bedding one-half of a married couple (played by the hilarious Tamsin Greig and Stephen Mangan), who are in fact his new TV bosses -- was messy, to say the least.

Season 2 finds him still in the thick of that "super awkward dynamic," with some interesting new distractions,...
