In 2014, writer/director Éric Falardeau explained how he developed the idea and script for the film. "A few years ago, me and my ex-girlfriend were talking and making jokes about someone rotting from the inside. At the same time I was working over my master thesis about body fluids in gore and porn films. Little did I know that our small talk would merge with my studies. I then started putting ideas on paper and working on the script on an irregular basis (between my thesis, my day job and another film). The script became more and more personal, like a reflection of my inner self and my readings at that time of my life."

Thanatomorphose

Thanatomorphose was a very sick film to some people but to me it wasnt effective in that way and honestly i found its entire premise to be very boring and just plain mess.When you are watching this kind of films whos duty is just to gross out people then you must be prepared for it and i was but i just coudnt invest myself with our characters and story.This film will be a good watch only if you are huge fan of this kind of films and since im not i woudnt recommend this film to a normal people but weirdos may have a good time with it
