Edit
According to the producers, Utopia was intended to run for three seasons, but was cancelled after two, so leaving the story unresolved. The Amazon remake ran for one season before also being cancelled.
Pietre is another name for Peter. Both names mean "Stone." Pietre is a cold stone faced killer. Also Peter Rabbit is another famous rabbit continuing the bunny references.
Marc Munden modeled the tone of Utopia on the early films of Roman Polanski, specifically Cul-de-sac (1966).
The series briefly rose in popularity after YouTuber Pyrocynical made an in-depth review of it in 2021.
