After an almost seven-year wait, the Netflix-original anime Moonrise is finally set to premiere next month. Produced by Wit Studio and directed by Masashi Koizuka, Moonrise will tell the tale of Jacob "Jack" Shadow and Phil Ashe as the Earth and Moon clash over the Moon's fight for independence.

Along with its premiere streaming release date of April 10, 2025, Netflix has also announced several of the staff members and cast working on the show. Masashi Koizuka, responsible for directing Seasons 2 and 3 of Attack on Titan, will be directing Moonrise as well as overseeing its script. Hiromu Arakawa, best known as the creator behind Fullmetal Alchemist, is responsible for the character concepts and designs. AiNA The End will be performing the theme song "Daijoubu" ("It's All Right"). The two lead characters have also officially been cast, with Chiaki Kobayashi voicing Jacob Shadow and Yuuto Uemura voicing Phil Ashe.

The wristwatch, priced at 19,800 yen (~US$139), is inspired by the popular character Ai Hoshino, who featured predominantly in the early parts of the first season and continues to be a driving force of the rest of the series. Consumer electronics company Cerevo and Production I.G. have teamed up once again to reissue a 1:1 reproduction of the iconic Dominator from Psycho-Pass. The 10th-anniversary edition comes with a few upgrades, such as an improved changing mechanism and a Public Safety Bureau-sanctioned protector case.

Due to fan demand, Cerevo has announced that it's putting the highly detailed Dominator replica back into production from the fan-favorite cyberpunk anime. The screen-accurate replica had initially stopped production in 2019 due to difficulties procuring parts for the ultra-complicated transforming cyberpunk weapon, but now, its back with a few touchups.

Netflix's exciting new addition to the Terminator franchise, Terminator Zero has finally received its first full trailer ahead of its August release date and the anime looks more promising than ever. First announced to be in production back in 2021, the eight-part anime produced by Production I.G will be the first animated Terminator project and the new trailer finally gives fans a good look at what to expect.

Netflix has finally unveiled the first full trailer for Terminator Zero which is expected to release on 29 August 2024. The new trailer was posted on Netflix's official X and YouTube handles and features Sonoya Mizuno narrating the video as Eiko.

A local film “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” earned an all-time record-breaking Hk$105 million ($13.5 million) at the Hong Kong box office. But it was not enough to keep the territory’s theatrical business on a recovery track. Data from Hong Kong Box Office Ltd. Shows that January to end of June gross revenues dropped by 17% year-on-year, from Hk$772 million ($99 million) to Hk$640 million ($82 million) this time. Another Hong Kong made film “Table for Six 2” earned Hk$37.4 million ($4.80 million) to make it a local one-two, ahead of “Dune: Pt 2,” with Hk$36 million ($4.62 million) as the leading imported title. The organization reported that the first half enjoyed 143 theatrical releases, of which 22 were local productions.

Crunchyroll confirmed that a second season of the Production I.G. hit anime series “Kaiju No. 8” has already begun production. The reveal was made on the same day as the first season reached its finale.

Popular anime series “Kaiju No. 8” may have just concluded its inaugural season on Crunchyroll, and the streaming service announced over the weekend that production is already underway on a sequel season.

Crunchyroll will broadcast the series’ return in 200 territitories and countries worldwide, with broadcast information Tba.

Hit Japanese anime series Kaiju No. 8 is getting a second season. Shortly after the credits rolled on the show’s season-one finale Saturday, global specialty streamer Crunchyroll revealed that work is already underway at the storied Japanese anime studio Production I.G for a follow-up story arc. Crunchyroll says it will stream the season two return of Kaiji No. 8 in over 200 countries, with the specific release plans to be revealed at a later date.

Kaiju No. 8 is adapted from the original manga created by Naoya Matsumoto. The show is animated by Production I.G (Ghost in the Shell) with kaiju artwork and design supervision by Studio Khara (Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition, Shin Godzilla).

Netflix's Terminator Zero anime has finally received a global release date, alongside a collection of debut official images for the highly anticipated series.

Via Variety, The Terminator Zero anime series will drop eight episodes all at once via Netflix on Aug. 29, 2024. Masashi Kudo, well-known for his work on Bleach as a character designer, episode and animation director, is credited as director for the series. Terminator Zero was conceived by Mattson Tomlin, with other executive producers including David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger.
