Yes, had Monday been around 75 lakhs, then such kind of trending would have resulted in an even healthier number. For now, the collections have moved from 55 lakhs on Monday to 50 lakhs on Tuesday and now 45 lakhs on Wednesday.

While a similar trending would be seen today as well, it has to be seen how does Savi hold on tomorrow. That would be really crucial for the overall lifetime of the film. There is a week ahead in which the Divya Khossla starrer can earn as much as it can because post that Chandu Champion will arrive next Friday and that would take away all the attention.

On Monday, Savi had collected 55 lakhs at the box office and while that was a drop from Friday, it had to be seen if the film stays stable from this point on. Since the numbers had anyways come down to lower levels, they couldn’t have afforded to go further down in a big way.

Thankfully, the drop was well under control as Tuesday collections too came to 50 lakhs, which is a dip of around 10%. Had the collections got into that 40 lakhs zone then it would have brought Savi down to low levels, though even now it needs to stay stable around 50 lakhs today as well as tomorrow so that there is appropriate showcasing in theatres during the second week.

On Monday, the film dropped less than 50% compared to Friday (1.44 crore) by bringing in 88 lakhs, and then on Tuesday, it stayed super stable with 89 lakhs more coming in. Hence, it needed similar numbers for the rest of the weekdays as well.

One actually expected Bhaiyya Ji to get back into the crore zone yesterday due to Bogo, but the collections stayed below that, with 76 lakhs coming in. The numbers have, in fact, grown both, and the need of the hour is that they stay around this mark from today until Thursday, which would also be possible through the Bogo offer. Then they should pick up again on Cinema Lovers Day on Friday when tickets will be available for just Rs. 99.

That said, though, such incentives work really well for multiplex films since ticket rates come down to one-third, at least; at the single screens, there isn’t much of a difference. It was yet another good day for Srikanth as 1.18 crore came in. The need of the hour was for the film to stay at least over 1 crore, and that has happened, which is a good sign. Not that it is surprising, though, since the film has been trending well right since its release, and hence, such numbers were on the cards.

That said, an even bigger hold would have been better since Thursday’s numbers were 1.47 crore. Hence, something closer to 1.25 crore would have been even more suitable. With the numbers being a bit below 1.18 crore, all eyes are now on growth today. In some ways, Srikanth did face competition from Hollywood’s Furiosa at the multiplexes, though on single screens, it didn’t get a hit due to Bhaiyaaji since it was not a movie for that segment of the audience.
