Twisted House Sitter 2

Ok so I watched the first one and liked it enough. Then I saw part two and was like oookay lemme watch. So I did. And I liked it....maybe not enjoyed thoroughly but it's a good watch for Black Cinema.

I have seen the lead in some other movies I have liked such as Girlfriends Getaway or whatever it's called and part two to that. P. S. If you haven't noticed, this review is very light and not too philosophical like I can get but the movie doesn't call for that level of critique.

Now, I have to be honest. Growing up Ms. Fox was a 5 star A-lister especially among the black community. However, watching her in some of her Lifetime films and now this Tubi film, I question "our" judge of character on her acting skills. It's like we were caught up in the glamour of her beauty and stardom that we failed to see she's actually not that good of an actress. Not terrible but definitely fit for her most recent roles and even some back then. I guess I'm seeing through new and grown eyes. And Vivica, please with these wigs child.

Anywho, was simultaneously predictable and unpredictable and I look forward to part three.

I hate the way they wrote Vivicas character. You expect me to believe this boss b ceo who is seemingly mastering her life reacts in such a way that is tasteless, classless and unrealistic when trying to prove her mental stability? What a joke.

One reviewer questioned Vivivas acting ability and I have to say, after watching this, I too question. I didn't feel like the same Vivica I watched many moons ago.

Another reviewer challenged Tubi to step their creativity game up and I second that challenge. Many of their movies are the same. I'm currently watching one called 'Five Star Murder' that while different than most of their movies, is very similar to their other movie of hotel murders they recently released.

Y'all have no point or reason to come for Vivica.

I clicked on this movie not expecting to take it seriously. And I still don't, but I was actually entertained by the story. I don't click on a Tubi movie expecting cutting edge creativity. I'm usually bored and have too much time to kill. At the very least, I wasn't super disappointed because I didn't expect much, anyway.

With all that being said, don't take your disappointment out on the actors or just one of them. Be fair. I'm sure they did the best with what they had, a.k.a. A dry, uncreative script.

I've watched a lot of Vivica Fox movies. I think she's a great actress and she brings a brand of professionalism, that can turn to crazy, to these D-List movies. She essentially plays the same character in all of these movies. I think she's a great actress, regardless.

It makes no sense to insult only her and I don't know why you would only critique her. I thought the woman who played Alicia was overdoing it from the start. The husband character was just an accessory. And everybody else was filler. Vivica is the one who brought all the emotion and life to a cast full of perfectly made up mannequins. I enjoy her and I'll watch almost anything with her in it and I think if it wasn't for her, this movie would've been skippable.

While I wasn't particularly entertained by the 2021 thriller "Twisted House Sitter", I still opted to sit down and watch the 2023 sequel "Twisted House Sitter 2" from writer Dana Verde and director Courtney Miller.

And I have to admit that the storyline in "Twisted House Sitter 2", as written by writer Dana Verde, was more enjoyable and entertaining than the predecessor. The storyline and narrative was more compelling and well-written. So "Twisted House Sitter 2" definitely turned out to be more of an interesting movie to watch, and certainly also more entertaining.

The acting performances in "Twisted House Sitter 2" were good, and it was actually nice to see actress Crystal-Lee Naomi return to reprise the role of the devious Alicia character. In addition, "Twisted House Sitter 2" also have the always-enjoyable actress Vivica A. Fox on the cast list as well.

If you enjoy thrillers, you might get a kick out of watching director Courtney Miller's 2023 movie "Twisted House Sitter 2".

My rating of "Twisted House Sitter 2" lands on a five out of ten stars.
