L'estate più calda (2023)

Trivia

L'estate più calda

Edit
Matteo Pilati began collecting ideas from the film's plot in the late summer of 2021, immediately after the release of his first film, reminiscing memories from his own experience at summer camps in his youth. By January 2022 the first draft of the script -written by Pilati, Giuseppe Paternò Raddusa and Tommaso Triolo - was submitted to Amazon Studios and immediately picked up.
In July 2022 screen legend Stefania Sandrelli and comedian Nino Frassica were signed on the project, as well as Matteo Pilati's frequent collaborator Michela Giraud and dancer Giuseppe Giofrè, in his acting debut, on supporting roles.
The film was shot in Rome and the South of Sicily between August and October 2022.
Gianmarco Saurino, who previously worked with Matteo Pilati on Mascarpone (2021), was the first choice for the role of Nicola.
This is the second time that Matteo Pilati, Gianmarco Saurino, Michela Giraud, writer Giuseppe Paternò Raddusa and composers Umberto Gaudino and Jean Michel Sneider work together, after Mascarpone (2021).
