Director Mysskin approached a foreign costumer to design the superhero dress of the superhero character of the film.

The pre-production of the movie started earlier at 2008 and lead actor Suriya was expected to play the lead role and 'Ar Rahman' to be the composer of the film. But later they were dropped from the film.

The superhero costume wore by Jiiva weighs 10 kg. After wearing that , Jiiva suffered from some infections in his leg because of that costume.

Director Mysskin initially named the movie as "Agniputhuran".
