Beat, the supergroup celebrating ’80s King Crimson, have announced a new live album, Beat Live, out September 26th. The track “Neal and Jack and Me” can be streamed now.
The release captures Beat’s 2024 concert in Los Angeles — previously the focus of a livestream performance — along with additional recordings from the band’s massive North American tour last fall.
The outing saw classic King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin teamed with guitar virtuoso Steve Vai and Tool drummer Danny Carey. Taking their name from the seminal 1982 King Crimson album, Beat revisited the progressive rock band’s output during that decade, specifically 1981’s Discipline, the aforementioned Beat, and 1983’s Three of a Perfect Pair.
