Naked and Afraid Season 18 debuted with a tribute to Sarah Danser in its 2025 premiere episode. 

The hit Discovery reality series returned for its eighteenth season on March 9, introducing a new group of survivors who must endure the harsh elements without even the clothes on their backs. 

Season 18 marks the first new episodes for the show's mainline series (excluding its Xl and Last One Standing spin-offs) since early last year.

Blake Lively has filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni outlining sexual harassment and manipulation on set of It Ends With Us, which is now streaming on Netflix.

According to TMZ who obtained the lawsuit, allegations against Baldoni include discussing his former “pornography addiction,” his sexual conquests, the cast and crew’s genitalia, Lively’s weight and her dead father, and showing Lively nude videos or images of women.

Apple TV+ is going Bananas for two big-name stars: Oscar Isaac and Ana de Armas are set to headline a new drama series titled Bananas for the streamer, our sister site Deadline reports.

The series will be written and executive-produced by Carolina Paiz (Orange Is the New Black), with Oscar nominee David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle) set to direct. We’ll have to wait to find out who Isaac and de Armas are playing, though: The show’s premise is being kept under wraps, along with any plot or character details.

Naked and Afraid takes reality television suspense to a whole other level. The show's striking method of testing its contestants' boundaries and limitations has shocked audiences. However, it has also made the show very successful, as it has spawned spin-off series and high viewership.

Sarah Danser was one of the recurring cast members of Naked and Afraid. She appeared in several different seasons and even the Naked and Afraid Xl series. Fans were familiar with her, and she quickly became one of their favorites. Sarah was said to have survived breast cancer twice.

Sarah sadly passed away following a car accident in October 2024. Her tragic death shocked fans, as she was only 34 years old. In the days following her passing, Sarah was fondly remembered by friends, family, and fans.

Tragic news this week out of the entertainment industy:

Sarah Danser, a former reality star best known for having appearaed as a contestant on Naked and Afraid, has died following a car crash.

She was 34 years old.

According to local police in Honolulu, Danser passed away Tuesday, October 22 after she was a passenger in a vehicle being driven eastbound by a 59-year-old man two days earlier.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a parked car.

Danser was hospitalized in critical condition and eventually succumbed to her injuries.

The driver of the car was also hospitalized in serious condition, while authorities said speed appeared to be the cause of the crash, Not drugs nor alcohol.

Danser debuted on Naked and Afraid...

Reality veteran Sarah Danser, known for her appearances on Discovery Channel’s survivalist series Naked And Afraid, died Oct. 22 following a Oct. 20 car accident in Kahala, Hawaii, according to local TV station Ksla.

Citing a police report, the station said that Danser was a passenger in a car whose driver lost control and smashed into a parked vehicle. The driver as well as one of the people in the parked car were also hurt and were hospitalized in serious condition. Danser was taken to the hospital in critical condition and passed away two days later.

A Colorado native who had lived in Hawaii for more than a decade per Ksla, Danser appeared in Season 8 (2017) and Season 11 (2020) of Naked And Afraid as well as Season 4, Season 6 (2020) and Season 7 (2021) of Naked And Afraid Xl.

She recently starred on another survivalist reality series, the CW’s 2023 Fight To Survive.

The chief executive of the E. W. Scripps Company has confirmed the broadcaster’s intentions to sell off its Black-centric network Bounce TV.

In a statement that accompanied a routine financial earnings disclosure on Thursday, Scripps CEO Adam Symson confirmed the broadcaster is “progressing nicely with our efforts to sell the Bounce TV network,” as well as certain unspecified non-strategic real estate assets.

CNBC previously reported Scripps had tapped an investment banker to explore the sale of Bounce TV, which it acquired with three other digital multicast networks as part of its purchase of Katz Broadcasting in 2017.

Bounce operates as a digital multicast network that is available on broadcast television stations across the country. A companion free, ad-supported streaming TV (Fast) channel called Bounce Xl is available on platforms like Pluto TV, Xumo Play and Tubi, and simulcasts nearly all the same shows as the Bounce TV network,...

Season 2 of Disney+’s animated What If…? anthology answered nine new questions in Season 2, including: “What if Nebula joined the Nova Corps?” “What if Peter Quill attacked Earth’s Mightiest Heroes?” And, “What if the Avengers assembled in the year 1602?”

But one question that the showrunner for Seasons 1 and 2 also asked and answered will never see the light of day, seeing as it was a “very dark” episode involving your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

The Hungarian film impressed jury and industry alike with its depiction of 13-year-old twins sent to their grandmother during the Second World War (it is based on Agota Kristof’s award-winning novel The Notebook).

The producer of the film, Sandor Soth [pictured], picked up the award in front of a delighted audience. Le Grand Cahier was co-produced with Austria (Amour Fou), France (Dolce Vita) and Germany (Intuit), and it is the first completed feature to be backed by the new Hungarian Film Fund (the Hungarian production company was Hunnia Film Studio.

The Kviff top prize comes with $25,000 to be split by director and producer. The film also won the Europa Cinemas Label.

Now in its 48th year, the Karlovy Vary International in Czech Republic awarded Olafur Darri Olafsson with the Best Actor prize for his performance as a dissolute politician in Marteinn Thorsson's Icelandic drama "Xl." Also from Iceland, Olafsson is credited as producer on the film, which made its international premiere at the film festival on July 2. In "Xl," Leifur (Olafsson) is forced into rehab by Iceland's prime minister but before he commits himself, Olafsson's character throws a lavish party in which his identity unravels. Olafsson is a prolific actor of Icelandic film and television, having recently appeared in the country's 2012 foreign language submission to the Oscars, "The Deep," and last year's American reboot of "Contraband" alongside Mark Wahlberg. Ben Wheatley’s A Field In England is to receive its first screening at the 48th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival as one of the 14 titles in Competition.

The psychedelic horror film, set during the English Civil War in the mid-17th century, will screen at the festival in the Czech Republic on July 4.

As previously reported, it will be the first UK film to be released simultaneously in cinemas, on DVD, free TV and VoD. This will take place on July 5.
