Originally, Michael Clark Duncan was signed on to star as the character "Reid." However, due to his unfortunate passing in 2012, he was then replaced by Kevin Grevioux.

Only having half the movie done, The Hensman Brothers were forced to recast the role of Griffin and re-shoot all of his scenes again with Justin Arnold who was originally cast as Griffin but backed out after negotiations fell through. The actor that was replaced is now running for president of the United States as a libertarian candidate.
Ny'Acies (The actor that plays Paine) was a rapper from Chicago, after given a Role in The Prey he asked if you could make a song for the movie, the directors said yes not expecting it to turn into what became the opening credits intro song! It worked out so well he ended up making an entire Soundtrack for the film including the hit songs You could be the prey & Attack the Monster.
