10 Best Paranormal Romances In Anime, Ranked
Image
A paranormal romance normally revolves around the love affair between a human and a magical being or supernatural entity. Sometimes both lovers are supernatural beings, but one is newly initiated into that world. The creatures vary from shifters to vampires to werewolves to ghosts, and beyond. Themes of immortality, lost love, and violence tend to permeate these stories.

They may be hokey in every other story, but sometimes the perfect elements converge to make a silly premise entirely watchable.

Image
By far the most popular and widespread genre of anime, shonen awarded fans with myriads of original, gripping stories. While shonen remains the most prolific ground for innovation in the medium, even the most devoted fans can’t ignore the genre’s indulgence in repetitive plots and outdated clichés.

Thankfully, some of the more faulty shonen series compensate for their storytelling shortcomings with the magnetism of their characters. These shonen titles are some of the worst the genre offers, but incredible characters make watching them worthwhile.

Trinity Seven

A painfully unimaginative harem plotline, unoriginal magic system, and tiresome school setting spelled disaster for Trinity Seven right off the bat. While lacking in cohesive, original storytelling, the series shocks viewers with the amount of character...
