    A colourful party

Love Pixar, feature films, really like to love most of their feature films, and short films, don't dislike any of their shorts. Their best are masterpieces and even lesser efforts, my least favourite overall being 'Cars 3', are never below mediocre and have at least four good things (best asset being the animation). Consider all three 'Toy Story' films among their best, while the first is one of their most overall ground-breaking my personal favourite and the one that connected with me the most was the third.

All three Toy Story Toons television shorts are well worth watching. Of the three, personally put 'Partysaurus Rex' in the middle. The best being 'Hawaiian Vacation' and the weakest 'Small Fry'. None of the three are on the same level as the feature films, understandable as the budget was lower and there were tighter time constraints. For anybody that loved the first 'Toy Story' film and its sequels, the three Toy Story Toons shorts are well worth watching and more and are pretty darn impressive for television short films.

Would have liked a longer length and the pace occasionally could have tightened.

However, continue to have no qualms at all with the animation and actually consider it the best looking of the three short films. . Such beautiful attention to detail in the backgrounds and the character designs and the colours are so vibrant. The music more than serves its purpose well, with the right amount of energy and charming orchestration.

From beginning to end the writing excels, with some wonderfully witty dialogue from especially Rex, and all the numerous gags hit the mark. This is one colourful party that one would be more than to be invited to with no regrets. Rex is a more than compelling as a lead character and is as just as strong in a more prominent as he is a scene-stealing supporting role. Loved the voice acting again, Wallace Shawn taking top honours this time.

    Altogether, very well done. 8/10

Nice animation and a thin but enjoyable story.

"Toy Story" has recently spawned several short films and I have enjoyed them all. While "Partysaurus Rex" is gorgeously animated (probably better than the previous ones), the story is paper-thin. This is not to say it's not enjoyable--but it certainly is not a must-see.

The film, not surprisingly, is about Rex. He's one of many toys that Bonnie loves to play with in the tub. And, after Bonnie leaves, the toys all come to life and party. And, the leader of this group of toys is Rex.

The biggest worry in this little film? How will Rex turn off the water so the place isn't flooded! Not much of a conflict. But the characters are cute, the CGI is great and kids will no doubt love it. For adults, however, it's just a trifle.

I highly enjoyed this new Toy Story short Partysaurus Rex

So it seems that when Rex is with his regular Toy Story pals, he's often dismissed as a party pooper. So when his little girl new owner has to take a bath, she takes the dinosaur toy with her and he suddenly takes a new attitude. I'll stop there and just say this was quite another fun short from Pixar that brought a new take on one of the classic Toy Story characters which Rex's voice Wallace Shawn benefits from immensely. Certainly, those new bath toy friends certainly like him enough when he keeps the water flowing. Like just when things seem headed for something one way, an unexpected turn always comes. Really, all I'll say now is Partysaurus Rex was a fine short to watch before the 3-D re-release of Finding Nemo.

    CRAZY PARTY WITH CRAZIEST DINO

Rex proves that he is one of the most underrated characters in Toy Story franchise. It is a cute party film. Enjoy it!

Content is below the usual standard but the color and energy cover for it somewhat

When Rex gets taken from the bedroom into the bathroom for playtime he finds himself with a whole new group of friends. The bath toy's only problem is that they need water to move around, so when bath-time is over, so is party time. Keen to shake off his party-pooper image that he has with his regular group, Rex embraces his inner party-saurus even though it is not really his nature.

This short film is a very basic affair – the plot is simple, the gags are mostly sight-gags and it is very short. So in that regard it is not really anywhere near the standard of the full films but at the same time it is colorful and quite fun in what it does well. The sense of energy and fun in the bath is quite infectious and, although it wasn't hilariously funny, it did have nice characters and I enjoyed it. The content is below the standard expected but the delivery isn't – with the animation and sense of humor still working and this is more or less enough to carry the lesser material. Best for kids, but it has enough going on to be amusing to the casual viewer.
