This is the most wannabe romance movie I've ever seen. All the while predictable, with many tasteless scenes (like on the street when she is stopped by people, or the competition scene)- none of them brought anything to the plot at all. I liked the theme of struggle with marriage and career goals, it is very current and a problem for many nowadays.
Now tell me why, WHY, do the two actors who are famous for their chemistry in Aski Memnu have NONE here. How did the directors manage to do that is beyond me. Kivanc is a much better actor now than he used to be, but this project... he's too good to be there. Beren's way of speaking made me want to jump out my skin, it was so juvenile and unlikable. She's usually a good actress, I don't know what happened.
I disliked the majority of the movie, except for the very last scene- no, of course I'm not talking about the most cliche airport reconciliation scene- instead, at the very end, they are both laughing over a lost suitcase I presume. I loved that scene, it's so realistic how exasperated they are, and it's genuinely funny.
Overall: this is a classic romance cliche film, don't get your expectations high just because the cast is strong.

Watching the two attractive actors and nyc is enjoyable but beren's behaviors like "how sexy am l watch me" was distractful. I think she wanted to show the world herself. Ok you're beautiful but not so talented. Btw, is orgasm scene really necessary??? It was really cheesy. The lighting was also poor. At the some secenes we see the faces in shadow eyes. I was excited for watching this couple again but l couldn't find the feeling expected.
The plot is at the begining like "before sunrise" series, l like the way it is. Anyway you can watch it without too much expactation then you can enjoy maybe.

I don't wanna make a long review for this one. A basic love story, nothing interesting about the story itself but the circuitous storytelling makes it (a little bit) interesting at some point. To not give any spoilers I will not mention that part in detail but if you have already watched it you'll understand what i mean. Also I didn't like the parts set in New York. NY could be more detailed and involved because the movie is set in NY (like 90 percent of it). There could be some romantic scenes at NY, i mean like the couple having a picnic at the Central Park, hugging each other by the view of central park's lake... But as you can guess non of them is in the movie... Buttt our producers somehow wanted to have an orgasm and doggy sex scene instead of this beautiful romantic and heart warming scenes... Probably they wanted the movie to trend on social media because of this scenes so they can gain viewers and off course more money. I personally didn't comprehend the motivation of making such a move, 'cause movie already has two brilliant stars that pretty popular in Turkey. We haven't seen this two together for a while and they deserved to be in a better movie together. I don't think it's worth the hype for it...
A romantic takeoff during a warm New York summer sets the feel of this lovestory. The main characters are played by a turkish actor and actress in this turkisk production. Both actors are very good looking and very charming which makes this movie easy digest.
Beren Saat, an uncanny lookalike of Ellen Barkin and Linda Fiurentino, plays. Serin, a woman getting headwind in her creative design career but is confronted with a choice. Her co-actor Kivanç Tatlitug, a lookalike to Ricky Martin, plays Mehmet. A man also developing his career and also confronted with life choices.
Its very well made production, a classic cut I would say. The directing is satisfying, cinematography, photo, music and acting are all on point and not much to criticise. You get a genuine feel. Every character does a great job and its a movie easy to digest but not all uncomplicated. The story has some depth.
With that said, you will likely not cry or walk out of the theater like a new person. Its not a gamechanger but nice.
Funny thing I couldnt help but notice is how similar turkish sound to japaneese.
Yeah Im neither.

... attractive-actors, better than average production values & the city views are highlights of this romance-drama... a fantasy based story that half way through come's the one twist on which the entire plot-storyline of the movie rests... it would have gained one rating point had not the ending be so typical Hollywood
... appears mostly Christmas & romance films make up the bulk of viewing choices.. as they go, this one's not terrible, yet definitely not worth going out of your way to see... fits right in a Netflix lineup, satisfying audiences speaking the language, they are a worldwide entertainment-conglomerate after-all.
