Ed Harris plays James Tyrone in this film version of the play, same role played by Jack Lemmon in the TV version Long Day's Journey Into Night (1987). Harris and Lemmon co-starred in Glengarry (1992).
Ed Harris and Jessica Lange stared together 40 years ago in Sweet Dreams as Patsy Cline(Lange) and her husband Charlie Dick(Harris) in 1985.
